You can claim 'late fees'
Just change the text to say 'Late payment penalties' or whatever your Credit Card company words them as.0 -
Hi guys!;)
I just started going through all this Reclaim your bank charges thing. I have debit, credit and saving accounts with HSBC. I have some charges to reclain from my debit account for bounced cheques and failed direct debits. It is pretty much clear, but I have some charges on my credit card that I dont know what to do about...
My credit card is overdrawn by £200. Bank for some reason set up a direct debit with my debit card account to transfer arount £20 a month on a overdrawn credit card. As well as that they charge my credit card two separate sums of £21 and £11 each month. Its total charge of £32 plus £20 from my debit card. They take £52 a month of me for £200 overdraft!!! What of it can claim back? How should I call it? And can I claim debit and credit card charges together or should I make two separate claims?
Can anyone help me with some advise?
Had anyone been in similar situation?

Hi all
Not sure if this is the right place to post.
I currently have a credit card with Virgin Money (boo, hiss!) and they regularly charge me £12 for being late with payments. Is this something I can claim back or are they within their rights because it is only £12?First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

Although the OFT have said they regard fees over £12 as unfair. They also said that only a court can decide if a £12 charge is fair.
Yes, you can claim these fees. The bank will probably say that the OFT considers £12 a fair charge, but as I pointed out......only a court can decide this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Can you reclaim credit card fees the same way you do bank fees. I ahve told all and sundry about this site and the bank reclaim process. I am currently part way through pursuing £2k+. A few of the people I have told have asked if this works the same way for credit cards like Barclaycard or Capital One.
Anyone have any ideas0 -
yep - and loans and store cards!0

I'm in the process of claiming back over £100 from Capital One. I'm just waiting to see what tehy will do. I have heard that many ppl have been sucessful in claiming back from credit card companies though the actual charges you can claim back differ from bank charges.0

Can you reclaim charges from credit card companies like you can from banks ?
If you can is it too late to reclaim charges if you have closed the account ?0
