My OH got into trouble with his credit cards when he lost his job. I was able to help out with an inheritance, the credit card companies all took short settlement. Can my OH now claim unfair charges? Or is that taking the you know what? He has a poor credit rating because his defaults are listed even though the credit card companies are not pursuing him further.0

Hi guys, new to this site, first posting ever. Just a question: I want to start this process of reclaiming charges from my Debenhams store card, which is run by GE Capital, but I cannot find the address I have to send the first letter in the list at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=304064
On the statements I receive there is the address GE Money, PO Box 848 Liverpool L71 2XX but I'm not sure, is this the correct one? If anyone knows the address, I'd be grateful.

Use the address on your statement at least to start with and see if that is the address they reply from.0

Thanks for that. Something else: I also want to claim charges from my NatWest credit card acccount - should I send the letter to the same address as the one for Natwest bank accounts that is on that page (i.e. 'Mr Alex Lyons, etc.') or is there a diferent address for NW credit cards?0

Its all charges for last 6 years...here is some info from the CAG.
Q. I saw something about the OFT..... Can credit cards charge me £12?
A. NO. The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) issued a directive to credit card companies to set a point at which they (the OFT) would intervene on behalf of the consumer. They did not state that £12 was lawful - in fact they stated that only a court can decide. "A fair default charge should not exceed a reasonable estimate of certain limited administrative costs which the credit card issuer reasonably expects to incur as a result of default"
In other words - reclaim the full amount unless they are willing to show the evidence of what it does"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"
