Yes you can. If you look through some of the threads in this forum, you will see many cases in porgress against CC companies.

    Follow the procedure at

  • This forum has shown that bank charges can be reclaimed, but Egg has recently charged me three months running for accidentally slipping over my credit limit by four or five pounds, and it's £16 a time. I was wondering if all this applies to credit cards too. I don't have any other account at Egg. Does anyone have any definite info on this? I am very irritated that the limit is not a hard limit, by the way. This was a deliberately low limit of £500 I set for internet shopping: but if they don't enforce it, how is it useful to me? Some other cards do enforce, e.g. those from Bank of Ireland.

    Hi,

silly question and not too sure if it's even on the correct board - can the same thing be applied to credit card charges over the last 6 years as is applied to bank charges? If so, can they be claimed back in the same way or is there a different way of doing it?

    Thanks,

    Damo

Hi, Thanks in advance for anyone who can help. Is it possible to claim these charges back for credit cards or is it just for bank accounts?

Can you claim for non payment of direct debit fees?

Ie Telewest whack an extra £10 charge onto our account because we pay by card when we're late? And also the bank has charged us because some direct debits weren't paid, £60 they are charging
  • Hi All,

I am considering asking for the penalties that I have incurred on my Credit Cards to be refunded, but can someone advise me of the following:

1: Do I have to send the £10 fee for the information requested for each card as I had three cards from the RBS which I defaulted on and they closed down

2: If I no longer hold other cards but want to claim back the penalties incurred on them as well.

    Many thanks

    Mac
  • I know all the charge refunds are centered around BANKS - Can charges for late payments being refunded for Barclaycard Mastercard too??? ie: if I didnt pay on time then they charge £20
  • Can late payment charges for Barclaycard Mastercard be claimed back?
They have charged me £20 on numerous occasions for late payment...

Yes. Bank accounts, credit cards, storecards. Use the same process for all of them.

I've had 3 credit cards managed by MBNA in the past 6 years; one was from MBNA themselves and the other two were from Virgin and Abbey.

Can anyone tell me, is it possible to make a single claim against MBNA EBL or do I need to make 3 separate claims? I was hoping to make just one claim and keep the costs down.
