Does this have any fair usage policy on it? I've used it at 17 shops now and there's still a lot more on the list! :)

There's no fair usage policy as far as I know. It's one credit per store per card.

I have an MBNA Amex - the first payment came through in two days but the other two retailers I've managed to use the card at since (all others refused) haven't credited a fiver back and I've never had an email. Is it just limited to the first £5 transaction? From everyone else's comments i didn't think so.

When did you make the purchases? They can take a few days to appear. I didn't receive any emails when I paid purchases over the weekend but I did however receive the credits for them four days later.

The £5 is one credit per store per card. HTH.
  • Went to two retailers who were listed on ShopSmall over the weekend and they clearly told me they don't accept Amex. I complained to Amex stating that I had to use a different card and received a £15 credit on my statement. Just a heads up for anyone else faces the same problem it might be worth contacting Amex.

Did you call Amex? I have 3 retailers where they refused Amex and I emailed Amex and they said yeah, sorry, but there was no credit offered :(

It all depends on who you get on the phone at Amex, when you complain.
I had 2 good and 1 terrible, but got my money.
    Don,t accept them saying no.
They even refunded me 75 minute call @ 10ppm= £7.50, arguing the toss about transactions from shops of the same group.+ my £10.
I,ve had 3 e-mails to fill thier surveys in regarding my 3 phone calls, I will put it in writing about the bad one, and praise the other 2 good-uns.

I sent them a message via the secure message option on the website.
  • Have just totted up my shop small tally.......

71 transactions, netting me free goods to the value of £355!!!

I am really going to miss this promotion! I hope its an annual event.

Now to hit the foursquare promotion!

    Have already got:

    £30 - gap
    £10 - Argos
    £20 - Tesco

Going to London on Sunday and intend to get 3 x £25 AT Harvey nic's and 3 x £25 at Liberty. Maybe a few coffees and paninis at Starbucks as well to get maybe 2 x £5 there!!!!

Has anyone else added up their tally?

You can pay £5 for a £10 voucher at the moment for Starbucks here. I've already added this to my SB account and it works

I think I'm on about £150 from the £5 deals and also getting stuck into foursquare and got £50 from Gap for west end vip. I'm already considering extra additional cardholders for next year ;-)

Oh no, that happened to be in a flower shop the other day, was a bit annoyed, especially as the paper they wrapped my flowers in had the Amex logo on it! Almost went into My Old Dutch to get a pancake on the way home tonight, thanks for the info ;)

It is a little late now but I started to say amex was the only card I had and sure enough most places took the amex. My o,d Dutch Kensington took mine and it worked and cash back given! :money:

Wish I had stared this earlier in the month. I could have had one seriously healthy months of pod, itsu.....the list goes on. Thanks AMEx for forgetting to notify me. Any chance of a weeks extension?
