On those figures you are assessed annually, so this is looking serious. I'm hoping you are a business so can get hold of stock that traditionally sells well and with no issues that you can put up and make a lot of quick and easy sales to water down those low stars. You need to turn this around before you go below standard and face listing restrictions.

So it's based on the volume of transactions then (not the feedback left)?
If that's the case, i'll have to punt things out on cheap buy it nows....and hope for the best! :(
But if that pushes me over the 400 transactions mark......will that then be another "issue" i'll have to deal with?

It isn't as straight forward as that (there's a surprise with ebay!) as the 400 sales per month is based on a regular turnover not a one off. I am listing at the moment so can't go and check what they actually say about it.

You might want to have a read through all the 'help' bits on your expanded dashboard as that should explain it better than I can, but it does get complicated how it is assessed and even what countries affect results and which do not. There are also usually double requirements, like the stars that need you to go over both count and percentage before you get restricted.

Someone who perhaps did not trust ebay implicitly might even wonder if it is deliberately this complicated to keep people on their toes....I could not possibly comment

That's why I started this thread, you need to be obsessive to actually work out what it all means and I suspect that the majority of sellers still don't even know the expanded dashboard is there.

It seems like a bad idea to base someones ability to list on ebay on a system that is almost hidden away.

I'm not sure if these links are going to help or not but here goes:
    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html#detailed

    Detailed seller rating requirements

To meet the minimum performance standards that are required to sell on eBay.co.uk, the number of 1 and 2 ratings you receive on your detailed seller ratings can't exceed a certain percentage of your total transactions with buyers. Here are the minimum detailed seller ratings requirements all eBay sellers are expected to meet:

    DSR category
Percentage of 1 and 2 ratings
    Maximum number of occurrences
    Item as described
    1%
    3
    Communication
    2%
    3
    Dispatch time
    2%
    3
    Postage & packaging charges
    2%
    3

To measure your overall performance accurately, we'll count 1 and 2 ratings only if they come from 2 or more buyers within any given evaluation period. If you have more than 400 transactions, 3 or more buyers must leave low detailed seller ratings before they are counted.

It says this about the 400 per month requirements (which I think contradicts itself somewhere else)

    Notes:
    • Sellers with 400 or more transactions over the past 3 months are evaluated on their transactions with UK and IE buyers from the last 3 calendar months. For all other sellers, the rate is calculated from transactions with UK and IE buyers over the last 12 calendar months.

Strange, I'm trying to view mine, I have over 10 feedback etc. but it just says "You are not eligible to access this feature.". Weird lol

ETA: Can't access in Safari, grr, but can through chrome.

I have a 3.8 on despatch time, is that bad?! I thought my dispatch time was pretty good! (Within one to two days, even though I state up to 5 days)

These DSR's don't seem very fair on a seller at all :-(

If it is truly 3.8 and just not you reading it incorrectly then yes, that is absolutely awful and you are well within the suspension frame. Most sellers can maintain 4.8 and above, and dropping to 4.6 is considered to be getting into problems, and below 4.4 already below standard.

Try and sort out what is going wrong , maybe show your dispatch times more accurately , try dropping to 2 days and posting next day wherever possible and see if you can't turn this round before you get suspended. Your saving grace is that on such low sales this is likely to be just one buyer who has left a 1 or 2 * and eBay rules appear to say that that the results of one buyer cannot get you suspended.

Look at the actual figures and percentages on the expanded dashboard, does it only show 1 low star for dispatch ?
