Well I received the message this week of being suspended but at no point did I receive a warning email.
I have been posting at cost, and posting straight away.
Does that mean that's the end of selling? Or do I wait for the stars to drop off?
Has anyone ever appealed and won?Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.

I am a business seller and have been selling my items free post, so my postage star is pretty much 5 all the time. After Christmas I took off my items, to concentrate on other stuff and have an ebay rest. However after doing my annual house tidy I found about 20 items that I was going to give to the charity shop, i couldn't resist putting them on ebay to see if they fetched any money. I put them all on auction 99p starting price, with £2.20 post, the exact cost as they were all small packages. Most of them sold for 99p, with the old one going all the way up to £2! Anyway I wasn't bothered, but now i checked my 3 month star dashboard and my post and packaging stars has gone down to 4.88, item described is 5, and the others are high 4.9's. As I will be going back to freepost soon it won't be a problem, but it just shows that you can't charge anything for postage any more.0

It says restricted.
I did have a couple of items ending yesterday that they cancelled the bids and removed the listings.
I'm hoping because it says restricted I will be allowed to sell again at some point. I am just selling small items to try and declutter.

I charge postage plus a very small amount for an envelope or box on most of my items and can maintain 4.9Asset, are you restricted or suspended,if suspended does it say it is an indefinite ban?[/QUOT

I'd phone them and ask if you can list a few items as the worst thing you can do is stop selling as that will make the stars worse.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi,
First of all thanks for the warnings and advice re the dashboard. I've always kept a casual eye on it but never really understood how it worked or the implications of low stars - it was just a matter of pride with me! After reading here I now know what can happen so would appreciate a bit of advice re my dashboard.
I am a private seller using eBay to dejunk my house, so I list in fits and starts on free listing weekends. (Aprox 5-10 items)
My p&p is finally 5 as now I only offer free p&p (2nd class)
Comms is 4.84 - I don't really communicate - is that the the problem? If they don't pay I send an invoice after 4 days, then let eBay deal with it. After I've posted I mark as dispatched, then message saying "dispatched at such and such a time, by such and such service" that's it. Yet I've got a 3 and a few 4's ? (Recent)
Despatch is 4.86 - on my listings I say despatched within 3 days but always post within 24hrs of payment. I know this one is difficult to address because I'm punished for Royal Mail's slowness.
I'm worried I'll get free listing weekends taken away, which would mean going back to charging for postage (only ever postage, no packaging) thus getting low p&p stars, no doubt.
The feedback I receive is always really good. Any questions dealt with the same day, 1 faulty item resolved - very happy buyer.
Do I need to be worried, and is there anything I can do.
Thanks for reading.0 -
Your stars are fine, you'll always get the odd !!!!!! who marks you down for no reason.0

Minimineyme, there is nothing at all wrong with your headline stars. As long as your expanded dashboard shows no low stars you are showing a very strong account.
Most sellers can maintain a 4.8 or more and I would consider even 4.7 as fine unless it starts to slip moreI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Isn't the percentage in the "item as described" the most important thing to look at?
My Sister had mostly 4.7's & 4.8's in most of her catagories, but she didn't realise that her I.A.D (which we now know should be around the 1% mark or under) was well over 2% - until it was too late!
Needless to say, she was suspended.
Also, some of these people leave "glowing feedback" comments when they aren't entirely happy. So how are we to know where/when we're going wrong?0 -

Yes the expanded dashboard is the important thing, not the headline stars. I am probably driving the regulars mad here, but once again I urge people to get into the habit of checking their exanded dashboard at least once a week, run reports if you see any lows and don't let anything slip by you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
