I'm bumping this as it looks like it might be review time for some sellers. Ebay have not changed their policy and this expanded dashboard is not obvious to most sellers, so while ebay hide it away I think it important to keep this thread active.

Yes Definately....thank you. I'm one of those ebayers with 100% feedback and been selling for 8 years.....I was not aware of what we should be keeping an eye on until I read this thread. I now check my scores daily and when one of them went down to 4.80 I got it up to 4.88. The others are above 4.90.

This thread needs to be kept on the first page because eBay will not tell us until it's nearly too late.
    Thank you soolin :)

Should I be concerned about the dispatch time? I have only sold 71 items this year and post straight away. Most of my feedback says how quick I am to post. I don't understand why I have been marked down.

Ebay was much easier before DSR's were brought in!

Yes - if it does not imrove Ebay may be onto you.

Do you send 2nd class? Some idiotic buyers think dispatch time = arrival time. If so - post first class for a while.

Look at the 12 month guide - see if any of the low stars are due to drop off.

Techspec is right, check when the two lots of low stars are. If they are earlier in the 12 month period you are probably fine, if they are both more recent then you need to sell more things in a hurry to water down the percentage.

Only one of the low ratings is in the last 3 months. I did send the last 12 items I sold my 2nd class as they were heavy inexpensive items and thought I would be doing the buyers a favour by keeping postal costs down.

I do usually send 1st class as sell my daughter's and my clothes that we no longer wear so they aren't too heavy.

Recently I sold some craft items which were quite heavy.

When was the earlier one - is it due to drop off?

Also - if you put 1 day dispatch and take 2 - expect to be marked down. I put 3 days and take 1 - so they are pleasantly surprised. Now 15 months with no low stars :D

I use second class with no problems at all and that is one category where I (so far) have no low stars. I am very careful though with my despatch details and quote 2 working days and usually send within 1.

sorry if this is a stupid question but both my 12 mth and 3 mth ratings are only showing til 31st dec. It says updated daily. how can i see what my ratings are after 31st dec.

i've had 4 positive feedbacks since 31st dec but the number of transactions is the same as on 31st Dec and the figures are all the same....theres no change

i've only been checking the ratings daily for the last 2 mths

I had a few poor months in 2011 and my rating quickly dropped to below standard. As others have mentioned stop selling is the worst step you can take. I bought some very cheap coloured stickers and sold them for 99p with 1st class postage. I made a loss on the way but my ratings started to improve even though I was below standard for most of 2012 I never received any suspension. There were emails every month to say my ratings are improving and I make sure they continue to improve.

Good news is my low stars have come off and have 100% feedback with above standard performance hopefully looking forward to a stress free 2013!

Regarding postage costs I think customers are too spoiled with free delivery and cheap courier from large retailers who can get low rates there is no way independent sellers can match their prices.
