Hi sassi
I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles. I had a look at your letter and have a couple of points, I hope you don't mind?
Make sure you mention that you have already been accommodating and have provided them with all the extra information that they have requested. Indicate that you are still willing to provide any information they require to resolve the matter quickly.
Also, remember that they don't have to provide you with an account even after you get this resolved, so don't demand their services but rather indicate that you would still be willing to use their service if resolution can be met in a timely fashion.
I wish you lots of success, keep your chin up girl!

Hi Sassy,
No, Moneyclaim is very easy. No legal jargon needed you simply put in the details of the company and the amount you are claiming and then a list of what it is for. ie. Paypal have closed my account without notice and after selling personal items they refuse to give me my money for 180 days which is an unacceptable time for me to wait. They have asked me to provied details of xxxxx and proofs of postage of the items which I did within the time specified. They now tell me that I cannot have my money for 180 days but cannot give a valid reason for this and any attempts to speak to supervisors are ignored so I feel I have no choice but to use Moneyclaim to obtain my funds. My buyers have all left their feedback and are happy but Paypal still refuse to give me the money that is mine. I have asked in various correspondances for it back yet the refuse yet will not give me a throrough explaination as to why.
I am sure if this sounds wrong others will correct me but it really is very easy to do as I have done it. moneyclaim is the best thing that every happened to consumers.
Then send it off and the court papers will be issued the next day. Don't include the details of being skint, etc.. the court are not interested in this all they will want to see if that you have provided them with the proof of deliveries for the items you have sold that were your own personal possessions. You do not have to include anything with the claim but you will need it if Paypal decide to fight the claim so make sure you have everything that you mention. If you have the receipts for the items when they wer bought then great but if not then no matter - but if you have other items like clothes included on there they are going to look pretty stupid. If more people started doing this then Paypal will realise that this practice of holding onto peoples money will have to stop. As I said though, send a letter to trading standards and also to the Financial Ombudsmun telling them what measures you have had to resort to because of this.
Good luck.0 -
Hi Sassi
I would post (registered) rather than email, much more chance of getting a reply. When I was getting nowhere with a complaint to a pension company I send a letter to the MD - reply from his office within 2 days saying he was having it investigated and then the department concerned had it sorted and replied within a week. Good luck DustyThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I assume Paypal are holding your funds for 180 days to prevent them being subject to credit card chargebacks.
(Sorry can't be bothered to read through all their terms and conditions but I think you'll find you agreed to them being able to do this.... as have we all.)
Why don't you contact your buyers and find out how many of them actually funded their payment via credit card and how many funded via paypal balance or debit card. Paypal's liability for non credit card funded payments is only 45 days. You may have an angle to demand some of your funds back after 45 days.0 -
Thank you, i may just do this.

Have you looked at the accounts of the people you have sold stuff to? Maybe there is a clue if some of them have been suspended too? Just guessing as I have no experience in this. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
