although its hard you must get back on the phone to them and demand to know what the problem is . ask to speak to one of the supervisors and remind them that you are the customer and it is your money , also if they hold the money and get interest on that money i would check to see if you are entitled to get the interest as well, maybe something martin can advise you on ? . just keep going until you get an answer.
I di ask to speak to someone higher up, but was fobbed off with 'the limitations department that make the decisions give us limited information, which is all i can give to you, and this department are the only ones who speak to customers'
I have rung 5 times in total, and 3 times i spoke to the same American lady. Very kind but 'unable to help' she just kept saying 'sorry , i'm really sorry, i know its frustrating, but there isn't anyway further she can assist me',and she 'can only give me what information she has'
I think i', the unluckest person on the planet. If somethings going to happen, you can bet your bottom dollar, it'll happen to me.
I googled my problem, and found many others who have the same story to tell, people even tried taking paypal to court....not someting i would ever dare do.(i even wimped out of claiming my bank charges when got to court stage):heart2::heartpuls:heart2: I WOULD NOT CHANGE MY AUTISTIC DAUGHTER FOR THE WORLD

I'm surprised you're speaking to an American lady - are you definitely ringing co.uk? (Paypal UK is based in Ireland)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Lot's of people in similiar situations to you. Paypal are an awful company, the bit i found interesting is they have it in their terms n conditions that when your money is with them it is their property and they can take it without even having to give a reason.0 -

Unfortunately you've fallen foul of some of the problems related to Paypal, above there are several ocassions where Paypal is referred to as a bank, however this isn't correct, it is regulated as an electronic money issuer with a lot less 'Impact' and other protection (ie Paypal wasn't required by the Treasury to join the Financial Services Compensation Scheme --- an insurer of last resort if the firm is unable to pay your claim.)0

Yes, i read some bits on that website a few mins ago, and am now VERY concerned, as ppl have waited the 180 days and STILL not got their money.
Some ppl NEVER get it, others waited over a year....i needed it now.
I wish i had withdrawn more than the 150 the week before.
I am going to keep on ringing them though. No harm in trying.
I could understand if i had done someting wrong or fraudulent, but not just selling a higher priced item, this makes no sense.
I have also recently moved house (month ago)
But can't see how this would have a neg effect as changed my addresses on both Ebay/Paypal.:heart2::heartpuls:heart2: I WOULD NOT CHANGE MY AUTISTIC DAUGHTER FOR THE WORLD

I don't advise this because its risky but maybe for the transactions of larger value you could contact the people who bought the item and ask if you gave them a refund through paypal could they send you payment some other way, cheque or wateva. As i say i don't advise it, there would be nothing stopping the buyer just not paying once you have refunded and then you would be totally screwed, just an idea.0

i don't think i would risk that.
thank you though:heart2::heartpuls:heart2: I WOULD NOT CHANGE MY AUTISTIC DAUGHTER FOR THE WORLD
