Looking on here it seems to be hit and miss... Are they missing info or something?
Well they asked for proof of deposit - fair enough. She supplied this twice as they lost it first time round. 1st time was given about 4 weeks ago, & ten again about 3 weeks ago)
Then on Monday they said they didn't believe she could save that amount (nearly 100k) in the past 8ish years (she can prove tho as she's lived at home all her life & never had to pay rent to her m&d etc.
Anyway now they've been provided with a years worth of bank statements.

Sorry to jump in on this thread but after having an offer accepted we're about to start a mortgage application with Nationwide after being recommended by our broker.
Does anyone know if Nationwide is one of the lenders who are quite strict on what solicitors they will work with? If so, is there a list somewhere?
As we're in Scotland we had to instruct a solicitor to make our offer in the first place and I never even thought about checking this before, although, my solicitor did say they do work with all the major banks/building societies.0 -
I wish my friend (our FTB) got hers the same day.
Valuation was done & satisfactory with nationwide on 7 November. Still waiting for the offer!
I know that feeling. Satisfactory valuation on 06 November for me, and still waiting on the full offer. I spoke to Nationwide on Monday, they said definitely tomorrow, so I called back on Tuesday afternoon when I still hadn't had the text, only to be told, definitely tomorrow! Will call again on Wednesday... fingers crossed.0 -

We want though a broker to Nationwide, nothing was mentioned re approved solicitors - we went with a company local to the new property as it happened to be recommended and one of the cheaper ones0 -
Good luck to everyone waiting. Our valuation was done on Monday and the waiting is killing me already!0
