Very unexpected sunny weather here today. Thankfully I was at work very early and was able to leave early afternoon. On my way home i decided to stop at Sainsburys as I had seen a black/white/gold tunic I thought looked very nice. Anyway I tried it on and bought it. When I got home i tried it on again and it looked great with both white skinny jeans and also with black leggins. One very happy bunny. Now I am a size I want to be I am actually loving buying clothes. When I needed to loose weight, I didn't want to be noticed; just to fade into the background. Now I have bags more confidence. I wish I had done it years ago. As I wasnt taking Sidney to the park I decided to have a couple of hours in the garden with her. Did a bit of weeding then did a bit of reading. Most enjoyable. Anyway I decided to walk up to town and meet my friend to go to the teatime zumba class. It was great and even though I have been on the go for hours and hours, I actually feel full of beans.
The plan now is to make a bit of tea, paint my nails and have another read before bed.
Anyway I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

Up nice and early even though Sidney is still grounded and is likely to be for week or so more. She is still not using her back right paw. If she isn't improved after the weekend, I will take her to the vets. She is just so well and full of beans in herself. I just want this cut to heal up so we can go walkies again! As I wasn't out with Sid, I got all my crystal glasses out of their cabinet and gave them a wash in hot soapy water. I left them to air dry on a towel whilst I walked to the town centre gym. I did 40 minutes on the treadmill then an hours dance class which was great fun. I did a little bit of shopping after my exercise - baby wipes, face cream, 3 bags of risottos rice, tea bags. I bought myself some beautiful pyjamas from Sainsburys. I just cannot manage any longer with night wear that is 3 sizes too big for me and is dropping off. I am going to look out for more pyjamas etc at weekend. Its great to lose weight but the negative side of the coin is the cost of new clothes. I also went into my local charity shop and bought 4 paperbacks for 80p. I just so love a bargain.
The plan this afternoon was to do some sewing. I was going to make some bunting for my wash house. Well I didn't. I ended up putting the glasses away, pointing the wash house flagged floor with mortar and finally I scrubbed my tiled hall floor. It is a very old Victorian black and white tiled floor and it came up beautifully with a bit of elbow grease. Put the oven on whilst I was cleaning and cooked some sausages and several small apple and cinnamon pies which had been in the freezer a while.
After my shower etc I went to visit my aunty but she was not in the mood for company at all today so my cousin and myself took ourselves off for fish and chips which was a wonderful treat.
The plan tonight is to go on the internet for a while then go to bed !
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

I've been AWOL - poor Sid!! Hope the leg gets better soon.

You're busy as ever and the wash house sounds great.

We had fish and chips for our tea tonight too!

Think of the paying out for the new clothes as your incentive to keep the weight off so that you won't have to pay out like that again. I think you have done brilliantly. You are in the mindset for healthy living. I think once someone is at the stage that you are at there really is no going back :)

Hi Polesalot - Thanks for dropping by. I love fish and chips but it must have been about 2 years since I had them. Anyway the portion I had yesterday was so big I only ate half and warmed the other half up for my tea tonight ! Talk about moneysaving. Hope all is well with you and your daughter x x
Hi girlatplay - I agree completely with all you have said. I have thrown out pretty much all of my bigger clothes as I really want to stay the size I am now. I intend to weigh myself regularly without getting too manic about things, but the minute the scales go up, I shall be doing something about it ! Actually its the first time in my life when I have been able to treat myself and not have to put other people first. Today I actually splashed out on a new pair of trainers/running shoes- However it was about time. In fact I might buy another pair as it doesn't do your feet any good to wear the same shoes / trainers all the time. Anyway I hope all is well in your world x

I have enjoyed today. I was up early and at the gym for 7am. Did an hour on the treadmill. Anyway I hope you are all sat down as I have an announcement to make........I went supermarket shopping and spent £24.90 in Aldi, £2.22 in Asda and £3.98 in the Asian supermarket. Thats the first proper shopping I have done this year. OMG. Anyway I intend to keep my finger on the pulse and not buy too much in future.
This afternoon I went to the cinema and saw "Behind the Candelabra". I am not too sure what I thought about it - shall we say it was different. The rest of today has been spent doing chores - Ironing etc.I have also started another little project. I have a lovely old patio at the bottom of my garden which is made up of old York stone. I have started to re grout it as the pointing has perished and it is full of weeds. So far so good. The small part I have done looks great. I will need to go and buy some more mortar mix over the weekend as I have almost run out. I have finished my last book and am about to start my next one which is "The New Rector" by Rebecca Shaw.
Going to get my feet up tonight and have a sweet treat whilst reading my new book.
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

Today has been a bit more leisurely by my standards. The weather has been rather cool to say the least here and very windy. With that in mind I went to zumba this morning at my town centre gym. I really enjoyed seeing my friends and having a good dance. I bought 2 tins of cheap custard from Sainsburys - 34p and bought a lovely vintage tin sign from the local charity shop. It a laundry room sign so is perfect for my newly decorated wash house. Cost £2.99.
This afternoon I have been to see my aunty. As the weather is so poor I have decided to enjoy the rest of my day in my pyjamas. Its not very often that I just lounge about, but I just didn't fancy doing more patio pointing in the wind !! So pj's it is and I am just going to read my book, chill out and have a few nice foodie treats.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

What horrid weather we have had today. I actually went to the gym in the car because it was raining so much. I got there for 8am and did about an hour on the treadmill. Sidney is still not going out for a walk yet because she is still limping but i have noticed that she is limping far less than she has done. I think we should be back out walking next weekend hopefully.
At lunchtime i went to the Trafford centre with my cousin. We had a lovely browse round the shops. She spent loads of money. I only bought a short black cardigan from Debenhams and I used vouchers left over from my birthday. However there is method in my madness. I have seen a couple of items of clothing in Sainsburys I like so i plan to go and try them on tomorrow. Also I would like to buy some more running shoes and walking shoes from Aldi.
Anyway I have had a nice day. I have started a new book - "The farm" by Richard Benson, so the plan is to have a nice read tonight.
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

Wow I am tired !! I have had a really busy day and i am going to have an early night as i have to be up very early in the morning. Today I was up early doing my chores so I could get to the gym early. I submitted my meter reading to British Gas. I usually do it on a Sunday but their web site was being silly yesterday. I did an hour on the treadmill then it was my zumba class. I just thoroughly enjoy all the exercise. After a quick change i had to go to town as i had an appointment. I decided to combine things and do a bit of shopping. I seem to be doing a lot of spending at the moment......but boy am I enjoying myself. I bought some silicone sealer for round the wash house door - £1, a huge box of Thornton's to take to my friends when I visit at weekend - £5, 4 bags of risotto rice at 39p per bag (They can be cooked in the microwave and are brilliant), 2 roll on deodorants at 69p each, a new umbrella at £5 as mine has just broken, apples and bananas and finally I filled the car up with petrol. Talk about busy !!
After a very late lunch I did a couple of hours re grouting on the patio. Its a very slow, laborious job but it is going to look great when its done. Anyway I think i have done enough for today, so the plan for tonight is to get my work things ready, make a couple of phone calls and get my feet up with my book. Amen !
Anyway I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

Another day almost over with for me. Up very early for work which went ok today. One day over with one more to go. I went to the gym straight from work and did an hour on the treadmill. At the moment I am not rushing home from work as my neighbour has offered to let Sidney out whilst i am at work. How good is that ? I also called at Aldi. After the success of the Aldi running shoes I have been on the look out for another pair in my size. No luck unfortunately. I bought some Aldi walking shoes for £15 and they are fabulous. I am just so enjoying "investing" in me.
When I got home I spent a couple of hours in the garden with Sidney doing some more pointing on the patio. The area I have done looks great. The only problem is that it is a very slow job. I am hoping to get some more done when I am off work. Just had time to go and visit my aunty for an hour.
The plan for tonight is a bit of internet and a bit of reading before an early night as I have to be up mega early for work in the morning.
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x :)

I had a lovely day yesterday despite it being a work day. I was up super early and at work for daft o`clock. Luckily the day passed quite quickly and its over with for a few days now. I did a few chores when i got home and luckily caught up with my neighbour who does my jobs. He lent me his jet wash so I will be able to clean my drive, patio and paths when I get a day to do it. Its really good being able to share power tools etc as it really cuts down on cost. At tea time my friend came and picked me up, along with Sidney and we went to a friends BBQ. Lets just say I had rather a lot to eat and drink. I am currently trying to drink a lot of fluids as i feel a little dodgy !!! It was a great night and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I brought a few items of food home which were left over and I know I will enjoy eating them over the next day or so.
Sidney is definitely on the mend but I think i need to leave her a further day or so before i take her out for a walk. I am frightened of this cut splitting open again once she starts tearing around
Anyway I hope everyone has a great moneysaving day x :)
