Please put me down. I am going to only spend £120 on food for me , dh and 2 children. I have hardly any food left so is going to be hard. I have a few evenings/meals already booked which I have the money for. This is going to be hard but hopefully rewarding.

    Good luck everyone.

Wow Sholly, £60! I'm impressed - maybe you could share your budgetting tips to help the rest of us :)

    Hi Siouxsie :)

Thanks, I'm going to give it my best shot!! I've started baking my own bread and have been using this for pizza dough and buns so that's been saving me loads! :j Tesco have 3 for 2 on all baking products at the min so I've got enough to last me the month and I've got tuna, eggs, cheese so this sorts my lunch and my son's packed lunch. I also bulk bought Frubes and juice when they were on offer (and have frozen the Frubes so just take one out when I need it ) so we're pretty much sorted there. For evening meals, I'm planning on cooking in bulk and freezing individual portions. I make approx 10 different dishes so that we (hopefully!!) don't get bored. I'll be doing things like chilli, casseroles, cottage pie, lasagne which I can hopefully do quite cheaply...Tesco Everyday basics!!
WOWzers!! You are a lesson to us all - I will be mighty impress if you are under £60 a month with 3 of you in the house... WELCOME. YOu are marked and numbered...:D

Thank you very much! I'll let you know how I get on - I might blow the budget but I'll really try!!

Great thread NSK - how do I subscribe to it? I'm new and don't want to lose you all!!

    Hi
I haven't been on here in a while and this was the first post I read and now I want to join in! Not sure how I'll do with 2 kids (7 & 4) but thinking positively :). My food shop on average is £250 (and that's only for 3 of us) so I'm going to aim for £200. I do have a fair amount in the cupboard/freezer but I have to shop this week to use up my £5 voucher at Morrisons!

Will return later when I've got all my DD figures
