Abundant - I have just done the Grazebox.. when do I cancel it??“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Kat- i cancelled mine the day that i got my free box
it was lovely btw!0 -
Hi Kat - re Graze box. If you ordered a weekly box you have a minimum date by which you can cancel...
On the accounts page on the right is a 'when's the latest i can change or cancel my box' menu. I waited until my first box arrived then cancelled after then.
To cancel - go to Box Options --> Make a change --> the bottom cancel box... and that should be it!
Am thinking of washing out the plastic cartons and filling with my own ingredients... Stuff like breads and olives you can buy cheaply (when the cupboards are empty of course!!!) and going to look at dried fruit and mixed seeds at my local health food shop and estimate how much I can make one for... Won't be as exotic but will give it a go...
Whilst am here - am going to report a NSD for me today (as not going out this evening...).
That's NSD number 10 for me.

Thanks Thriftylass. Sometimes you just need a 'proper chocolate' hit, you know?
Trying very hard not to cave in. Think i may treat myself to a bottle of beer from the pantry instead, and make some choc chip cookies.
Have changed into my PJs, so i wont be bothered to get changed and go to Tesc0 (hopefully).0 -
LOL - I am already in my PJs too!!!
I just tried those rice cake/tom puree/cheese 'pizza' things... erm... they're ok - edible anyhow... Am slowly clearing my cupboard... Finished off Cous Cous Packets I had today, and still have heaps of pasta and frozen veggies and rice to go through!!!

I did this for ages after having my free / cheap graze boxes (does it annoy anyone else that there's only 4 tubs in them but generally people have 5 working days?)
Loads of choice of nuts & bits of dried fruits at the supermarkets as well - works out not too expensive if you buy stuff when it's on offereg

As you say, not quite as exciting (as you know what's going to be in it really :rotfl:) but still a nice wee treat to have now & then - and maybe something to look forward to after NOvember.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

WantToBeSE.. I know what you mean about a chocolate hit. I always have supplies in my cupboards to make these..http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4061/melting-chocolate-puddings. The two separate ingredients keep well in the fridge for at least 4-5 days so you don't have to use it all at once. I use only good chocolate from Green&Blacks (my one treat) and keep a few bars in the cupboard.. I have had a toffee version in there for 4 months. It might be used VERY soon...I have a visitor over the weekend ( Siouxsie has heard of Geordie Boy ) so I might resort to getting him to help me eat whats in the house.. and I think I have enough goodies for fajitas...
Abundant - I literally found that info as I posted the comment but thank you for the reply I was clearly being lazy! I thought to keep the box too and re-use it and have been scanning cheapo products on Holland&Barrett although I will be scanning Tesco value bits first.. I love things like this, makes me feel like I am having a treat!!
Lucky you in your PJ's already - I am at work until 1900 and will be home by about 2030..:(..back up at 0500:(:(:(:(:( . I also have REEMS of mediterranian couscous to eat from an AP order.. might mix it with a tin of bean salad I have, some raisins, chopped apple from tomorrow's planned shop and have it with some quorn slices....YUMMY!! Then there is the bags of pasta...:rotfl:
Currently eating pasta...again....with sauce from last week...again...I am determined though as I love food shopping to make it EXTRA special next month and have bare cupboards to play with... couscous here I come....
*** I almost forgot about the 11 packets of instant tomato pasta that is WAY to salty from AP.....treats!!!..***“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hello all.
Just popping in on my break to claim NSD#10. A bit early in the day perhaps but no money in my purse so can't spend and will refrain from any websites I can purchase from. Think this week is going to be easy to keep up the NSDs as it's not payday til Friday. This may be my downfall especially as it's the last one before Christmas really (we get paid 21st Dec but too late for me to be shopping then) though I think I'm getting into a new food shopping routine already.
I do have a plan however - this Sat will be my Christmas spends day for November and I will cash in all my vouchers from various surveys etc to "buy" other pressies when I have a week off in December.
Kat - I can survive with out the blu-lite easily. It recommended I used in for 30mins every morning - as if I had time for that :rotfl: TBH now I've changed jobs and am much happier (and also get an hour for lunch so can go out for some daylight) my moods are much more positive so maybe it was working in school that dragged them down
OODAL - even though you feel you can't continue, I hope you stick around and still follow us xx0
