Bye Bye Oodal!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

upshot is, I have gone into freefall....I have gone out and bought everything I can think of to try to get his weight up - chickens, raw meats, ham hocks, pork scratchings, sausages and all manner of stuff which I am trying desperately to feed him in the hope that it is just stress, his weight will improve and I can stop the feelings of desperation and fear that I have....:(
I have blown all of my budget (and then some), I will probably not make my NSD target and I think it may be better if I bow out of this challenge until I know what is happening with him....I will continue to cheer you on from the sidelines thoughHope you all do well
Don't put yourself down for trying to make your doggy feel better. Our pets are part of our family, any animal loving person would give the world to help sick pets.
Things like this happen sometimeshope your doggy is back to himself soon

Good evening.
Hugs to everyone who needs one, and sorry to see you go OODAL, best of luck for the rest of the month.
Another good day here today, but not a NSD unfortunately as i really needed washing up liquid.
I am trying to get a bit more inventive with lunch ideas, as its getting boring with sandwiches.0 -
So sorry you're dog is poorly and I hope he gets better soon. They are like another member of the family. My tabby cat has been with me through thick and thin and I know I'd feel majorly upset and anguished if she was ill. Big hugs (()).
Just a short one today as I'm super sleepy now. Have had NSD 7! Sold a pair of shoes on ebay for £6.50, a dress for 99p and not much else. I don't think items of clothing are doing that well if they're not branded or the latest fashion. A friend made some money selling toiletries so may go down this route. I've got a few Origins free samples, which seem to irritate my skin.
Got my batch cook of chilli done and now got 3 portions with yummy brown rice. Roasted the butternut squash and have frozen it to make soup from next week. The tension is picking up again btwn me and my folks (i goes through phases) but dk if it's PMT or just part and parcel of being there. We've had brusque words ce soir. Only a few more months to go - hopefully!
Got a busy week coming up as have dance class on Tues and gotta stay at work til 8ish on Weds for a presentation evening I can't get out of. Then up at 6am the next day to do it all again. Grrrrrrrrrrrr0 -
Hi everyone!!!
Just checking in for today - I miss you all when I don't pop on and say hi... Keeps me grounded and sane!!!
I just wanted to say to 'Out of debt at last' - I always feel part of learning to manage money is knowing when to spend and when not to... and to be flexible. I really appreciate you being honest - because if life throws me a bad hand I know it's ok to say I'm opting out - yet still be supported. I remember reading somewhere on a thread that we can still do damage limitation... and make the best of what we can do... We're all here if you need support!
Thanks Kat too, for reassuring 'Icontinuetodream'... Friends and family (and pets!) first... money second... That money is being invested as love for your pet and concern... That's never a waste and it's again showing responsibility with what you have - knowing when it's ok to spend - and not feeling bad...
Ok - so today I had a planned spend day and met a friend for lunch/coffee... I had a really nice day and I appreciated it so much more because it was something special... I never expected that...
Am back on the NSD wagon tomorrow!!!
Still standing at 9 NSDs to date...

Another non-spendy day for me today. However, I could kick myself, of all things I never gave a thought to check on levels of greaseproof paper to wrap my Christmas pud in. Got the teeniest last bit left on the roll, so gonna have to get some tomorrow as I can't think what else will suffice until Friday.Mortgage

Morning
Today will definitely be a NSD for me. I am up to 9 so far, which is amazing as i dont think i have ever had that many in 1 month!
I will be giving the house a good tidy and clean today, to keep me busy, and yet more application forms for jobs0 -
Morning. I've picked up overtime from work so feeling quite pleased but running very low on packup stuff for school lunch and washing up liquid. Did have a money off voucher for Mr a but i think if i shop online its gonna be cheaper despite paying for delivery. So gonna try that. However that may be tomorrow so gonna try and hold off on a spendy day. Lol.xLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180

Hello everyone, I am REALLY sorry for not popping in more often, I have been readung my emails so i have been following a bit :-) I laughed so much when Ninjakat told off that pingu person, yaaaay good for you, my mum and dad both teach and I know how hard it is, blimey I even tried to go there myself and couldn't handle it haha! I am happy to report I am now up to NSD no.8, a great achievement for me as I usually aim for 10 in the month so I am very happy! :money:
I hope I can still make the 25 pledged, but it will be tight. I have bought my travel pass for the week (planned expense) but this will save me having to scrabble for change or worrying about having to get cash out to get a ticket (which always magically disappears...:rotfl:)
How is eveyone else getting along? I will have to post more about the random dinners we are having, I have been MUCH better about looking in the fridge first and planning around that. Sounds silly but this is not something I am usually good at doing.Don't turn a slip up into a give up
