Happy birthday abundant!!
Edit- hold on a cottonpicking moment, why did i not see the sock idea, that sounds just up my street! Is it actually a real sock?
I normally take £60 a week out of the bank for food and household stuff, then whatever is leftover at the end of the week (sometimes up to £15, sometimes its just pennies) goes into an old empty coffee jar, and i save up that. Then, when i have about £60 in there, i use that for the week instead of having to take money from the bank...but i lik a sock idea too!
Todays will be NSD 7, and i think its 6-in-a-row, although that sounds a bit too good to be true, so i'll have to double chack. I am either adding up wrong, or i cant quite believe how well i am doing, LOL!0 -
Katie_Pixie...how much did you spend?“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Phew, thanks for the clarification...jolly happy I can count yesterday as a NSD! It took such willpower to just get a bar of chocolate - if it wasn't for this challenge I'd definitely have headed for the nearest food place and parted with a fortune so I guess you could say the chllenge is working :A
So, here I am declaring yesterday a NSD and, as I'm on the late shift today, I can safely say that today will be NSD number 7 :j
PS I love Betty Boothroyd! Ballsy, funny and doesn't take any cr=p...who does that remind me of? :rotfl:0 -

Today will be another NSD (number 7 :T). I'll move my food shop forward to tomorrow as I will be meeting a friend in the pub (long overdue) but restrict myself to one alcoholic drink (if that) and take the car.
The wee one is felling better and in nursery and I have the house to myself. Cleaned and weeded the front garden, now trying to muster the motivation to clean the house top to bottom. Enjoying the time to myself on the couch is temptingDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Back to claim another 2 NSDs taking me up to 7 in total!!
Never thought I would make it up to 7. One more and I've already beaten Octobers total!
Well done everyone else for doing so good

Do I make myself clear?Yes we encourage people to write their feelings but a snobby little comment indicating you clearly have no idea what teachers of any sort have to put up with, is not what I call a constructive addition to my thread.
ps will post properly later0 -
Well done NSK for the recognition, you absolutely deserve it!! :T
Happy Birthday Abundant!
So, my week...
Thursday – NSD number 1 J
Friday – went to shops with friend on lunch break but still NSD! Number 2 J
Saturday – food shopping – spent £39.34 (well under my £60 budget) and should (hopefully) last the month – fingers crossed
Sunday – wandered around the market and still a NSD!! Whoop! Number 3 J
Monday – bonfire night, went to a display and didn’t spend a penny BUT I needed to do my son’s packed lunch and I had ran out of bread. I had no time to make another loaf so, 80p = spend day…for 80p L not happy
Tuesday – NSD number 4 J
Wednesday – NSD number 5 J had an interview, straight home coz I felt rubbish, cancelled Italian lesson so really I saved £15!! Every cloud!
Thursday – NSD number 6 J still feeling rubbish so will be straight home after work to sleep!
Hope everyone's alright, and those not having such a good week get better/have good news soon

I have restrained myself against the most torturous form of temptation known to my NSK world.. I went to the canteen with a colleague. He was buying, I was stretching my legs.. AND.... they had Macaroni and Cheese!!!!!!... and its NOT a spend day!!!
I held my NSK head high and walked out! I have all the ingredients for it at home so I know what I will be doing tonight! Nom nom nom nom...just need to go defrost my soup......:(
GelMC.. I am just sorry I didn't see it last night! I was so tired. Hopefully that won't happen again..Pingu is purporting to be a teacher on another thread as well so her post could possibly have been worded a little better if she was trying to make a point about holidays/work etc. Weird huh!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
