Morning all. Planning on NSD number 3 today. Have no need to go anywhere and also it saves on petrol:)
Roast lamb for dinner tonight, will be putting in the SC shortly, really looking forward to it:j
Have started myself a wish list. As things pop in my head that I need or like, I am writing them down in a little notebook so that if I do buy them, it will only be on a spend day. Something's will end up being not bought by me, ie when people ask what I want for christmas I can give them an idea from my list:)
Still working on meal plan for the coming week and a small shopping list for when I go food shopping on 6th. Although I had originally planned to reduce the grocery bill by £20 this month, I have my fingers crossed that by using up everything I already have in cupboards and freezer, that I can get it a lot lower.
Have a great day:)November NSD's - 70 -
Good morning all
Looking forward to making today NSD2.
It'll be a quiet one today, getting the kids ready for going back to school, doing homework, washing, having baths etc.
No reason or need to spend any money.
Have a great day!0 -
Hi sorry didnt check in yesterday. Yesterday was my spend day shopping petrol and bus fare all done and i have the money for baby groups and jacket pots in my purse for wed so i wont count those days cause i got the money out yesterday if that makes sense? Its only £2 so not mega bad. My spends came in at my budget of £80 for the week
not bad bad considering we got some fireworks for today (friend is sorting food) and we brought a bag of chips and some cobs for our tea instead of a full takeaway (thats amazing for us lol). So doing well and feeling motivated
i am worried we might run out of petrol
just got to be careful. Any way today is nsd so thats 2 nsd and 1 spend but in budget.
4 week meal plan- i have quite a full freezer so with bulk cooking some egg meals and jackets i can squeeze 4 weeks worth- freezer will be empty after that but ill use tesco vouchers to help fill it up again on dec lol this week we mince beef and onions (twice) burgers, mash and beans, jacket spuds, poor mans kedgeree, hot dogs tonight, and next friday chip shop chips and homemade pizza - yummyl/b moment 8/12/10

Hi,
Only just seen this ... am I too late to join??? I've been looking for a new challenge to get my teeth in to! I'll plan properly tomorrow cos not sure my tired brain will do it right tonightTomorrow will be a NSD. I find it hard to bulk cook cos don't have a freezer and am trying to eat nothing processed so buy fresh which means shopping more often than if I had a freezer ... hope that makes sense.
Right ... bed for a clear head tomorrow!
Night night,
Jet x
PS Haven't smoked for over a week woop woop!!
Good Job! And its not too late... I will cut people off from joining on the 4th.. so you are in, marked and numbered.... Please go to the NSD thread and pledge 25 NSD's...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. spendy day today....filled up with petrol and got some veg & milk for the week.....£12.90....also bought the wine for this saturday and next (pre-budgeted so not from the grocery budget
) so no need to go to the shops again this week :j
Not doing so well with the not smoking though....builder turned up unexpectedly this morning and dh decided to take the sink out but didn't do the washing up first and didn't take into account the fact that I have to make a vegan chilli to take with me tonight!! got stupidly annoyed about it so bought fags out of my 'persie' budgetreally angry with myself, but was probably being a bit ambitious trying to make my first day without ciggies a day when I will be drinking!! Oh well, tomorrows another day!!

Just had a lovely fry-up cooked for me by my wonderful technicians! They provided everything so didn't cost me a bean! (But I had a few...! Lol) should be on for a NSD as I have a lot to do at home when I've finished here with my overtime.
XNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
3rd NSD in a row. Saturday is usually a bad day for temptation as I'm taken to town and left to my own devices for about two hours while the other half and DD have their quality time together.
I don't do a lot - cos of my situation - but just sitting having a coffee and reading a mag is around £5 - more if it's $t@r****s.
I don't get out very much so it is a change of scenery and a chance to see other humans, but this week is going to be different.
I've got the thermos full of homemade soup, and a couple of last years crafting mags which will seem to be new as they are so old, and my short term memory is shot at, so I can't remember what's in them. (SEE - there are some perks to being in my condition).
I can sit in the corner of the hall where they are doing their thing, so I'll see people, but be out of the way and NOT SPENDING.
Hubby was so impressed with me finding the lost presents that he dragged out a couple more cases from where they were stored.
We found 4 pairs of curtains from our old house which will fit perfectly here, and we were going to buy new ones as we thought we'd given them away.
We have been using the ones that were left in this house when we moved in as a stop gap - right size, wrong style - until we could get the cash together. About £300 saved, or at least not needed to be found.
I've also found a load of my winter clothes - thick tops and trousers - are now 3 sizes too big, so e-bay here they come.
I can't adjust them, and don't want to keep them as reminders, so they go and I use what I already have.
OMG - I LOVE this site. I might be debt free AND have savings by this time next year.:T:j:TI divorced my First Husband on Religious Grounds:A
