MSE News: How cheap is the iPad Mini?

I got my 16Gb Nexus 7 for £160 recently.
The specs alone make it better than an iPad Mini - processor, screen resolution, GPS etc.
Why would anyone want the old-tech iPad Mini for a lot more money?I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

you refuse to see any negatives about apple (the maps fiasco for example)
if you have tried out the competition and this one seems better to you then lets hear the reasons why, what you are using the device for, how you use the device, what apps you think are valuable, what makes ios a better os on this form factor, how the lower resolution slightly larger screen is better than the rivals etc etc, to come on and say this is a better product because it's apple is simply ridiculous for anyone and moreso for someone that hasn't even used the device
Better than what? If you're referring to Android tablets its better because its running iOS which I find to be a much nicer OS to use. Better keyboard, better browser, better browser, better desktop integration, better app selection and quality, better materials, better build quality, better manufacturer support. There's just a few reasons. Is that sufficient now or are you going to continue to try and tell me that my opinion is wrong?0 -

And I'm saying I can because I know all of these things from similar products. The iPad Mini isn't so drastically different that the same points don't all apply still.0 -
I'm sure the iPad Mini will sell...but it's an expensive and sub-par offering from Apple with dated tech and quite limited appeal (it's really too big and wide to be pocketable compared with other tablets).
I prefer Jellybean to iOs - the latter seeming dated, plus I want widgets on my tablet - who wouldn't?I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

I'm not really interested in 7" tablets myself. If I'm going to get a new one its likely to be a 10" model.0 -
