Nooooo, Garlic Bread is the future.:D
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Google have revamped their range (in response to the iPad Mini?). Google Play Store is now offering 16Gb Nexus 7 at £159, 32Gb at £199, and a 32Gb WiFi + 3G version at £239, although this last is "coming soon".
The 8Gb version seems to have dropped off the radar.
I have the 16Gb version, and I'm very pleased with it.

Probably by xmas dayish it should be in the larger retailers assuming apple supply them adequately.
On my itouch 5 crusade I found several big stores haven't got any of them in store, or even had them at all since it's release. Expect the same to happen with the mini ipad. Apple care for their stores first, to stock those up, everyone else waits!

Guaranteed would've been to pre-order last week, for delivery tomorrow. Camp out and hope there are some left in store tomorrow (release day) or buy off apple site and hope after pre-orders are done, you'll actually get one soon. (current 2 week delay on ordering right now).

OR wait several weeks, they'll end up on refurb but be grabbed ultra fast.

If you don't mind waiting several months, they'll come up on ebay, on places like argos, john lewis, tescos eventually and with those will come offers, maybe vouchers off X spend on tescos, or a X valued gift card with argos etc.

Other than Apple itself the only place I found online for cost price is Execspot with next day delivery
  • They are already on sale in Tesco, John Lewis, Currys, PC World etc. If I can remember rightly JL are doing some sort of 2 year guarantee.

I went to my Tescos earlier this morning before work, they had loads left & there wasn't even 1 person in the entertainment dept. I got mine for the same price as on the Apple website, they were offering insurance or something for £89.00 but I declined :-) The CS staff said they had sold around 10 in 2 hrs! They are all OOS on their website now however, if people are still looking i'd suggest give your local Tesco or Currys a call!

    Ipad Mini review here.

He likes the size, which is fine if you have £££ to burn on multiple iPads.

OTOH, he observes that they aren't going to fit a 'retina display' into it any time soon, due to the size constraints. Performance benchmarks show how much slower this thing is than the iPad 4 (iPad4 is more than 3 times faster in some tests). Understandable in a phone that's going to go in your pocket, but in a tablet, a major compromise. THe iphone 5 is faster, even, on some tests.

Wouldn't touch it personally. The ipad mini 2 will be out in six months with hardware that's twice as fast. Maybe consider it then.
