Eh?? My point was that for just £50 more outlay you can get the new Google Nexus 10. The iPad Mini is clearly massively overpriced. But of course will sell in big numbers. Weird world.

for a lot less you get the nexus 7,
a lot of people pick a 7" tablet, because thats what they want.
so comparing 10" and 7" doesnt really make sense.
As with every Apple based thread, price seems irrelevant to many Apple buyers

Don't agree. I am in the market for a tablet, I would prefer a 10" one but price is a factor. For me, the 7" tablet would have been a price-defined compromise (the samsung Tab 2 10" also due to the average spec). The Nexus 10 has allowed me to go 10" with (hopefully) no compromise on spec. These tabs are all basically competing in the same marketplace. i believe many people go for the 7" tab because they either can't afford or can't justify the expense of the 10" version. If I was marketing the Nexus 10 I would actually major on the punters looking at buying the iPad Mini 'Just £50 more and look what you can get for it'. The ones looking at buying the Ipad should already be aware of the price differential.

    I agree :D
  • just bought the cnm branded touchpad 7 in Argos for £100...
On their website is three special offers: Half Price Sandisk memory card, Third off other memory card or Half price headphones...

You need to order the touchpad online to get this but you can reserve and collect in store.

The memory cards are cheaper in Tescos £6-7 for a 4gb so I chose the headphones only to find the white version of these was already discounted to half price whilst the black ones were still £24.99.

I haggled, complained and ended up getting the black ones for half the price of the whit ones... a saving of £18...

END result... I got a fab touchpad that works really well, isn't linked to propietory sites like Amazon or Itunes, runs the full android set up and with the headphones and additional cover is still less than half the price of the limited Ipad mini!

What does any of that have to do with the price of the iPad Mini?

Cheap, low-specced android tablets are everywhere, I wouldn't waste £100 that way.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Ha Ha. Someone on 5Live compared Apple to a drug dealer, who lures their clients into their closed system so they keep coming back for another fix.
