hello sharealike,
.... just ignore completely, don't ring don't write, they will go away. forumites who are taking the trouble to answer you are giving you the benefit of their experience, thats what the forum is all about!!
Had you read post 80 before you wrote this?
In a strange kind of way I now want them to take this the whole course.
And I thought the forum was about collecting evidence with a view to getting these confidence tricksters brought into line or put out of business. Surely the public of this country deserve better so they can go about their business without this deliberatly induced stress and harasment for money.0 -
Looks like a private "road" to meOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I'm not from your area so I had a look out of interest on Google street view Are you sure Green St. is a public highway? Check with Kirklees local highways to confirm.0 -
You need to confirm which if any of this road is a public highway.
The entry has double yellow lines which implies it is a public road but that doesn't actually make it so.
Or you could :-
JUST IGNORE THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:0 -
How rude sharealike, oh and i thought the forum was about saving money, not the world, i'm out of here, better things to do with my forum time, you are impossible.0

I was a stranger to the road and general area when I went there. Checked the road was indeed signed up with Kirklees highways signs etc.0

Hang on ! you checked the Kirklees signs ? there arent any council type signs that I can see for starters ! the only ones I can see are PPC ones.
It looks remarkably like the whole area is owned and maintained by a management company not the council.
You are I am sure barking up the wrong tree and as others have said you are giving them far to much credit.
Which street EXACTLY DID YOU PARK ON ? if its Green St then you were by the looks of it in their car park.
The only way to go from here is to contact the council and see if Green st is indeed an adopted road, if it is then game on as they are giving tickets out when they should not. If Green st is privately owned then just ignore them, or play the game or sue them for harassment.
But if you carry on the way you have been with the thread then you are'nt going to get much help, you need to listen to what WE are saying - digest that info and act on it, or not as the case may be. If you arent prepaired to listen to our well formed advice then you are on your own with it im afraid to say.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

Hence this in an earlier postwe need to know if this road is a public highway or private, ask the council.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Thanks muckybutt,
I have been listening to everything posted here. Acted on the vast majority of it. Except the "forget it all" advice or you would not have heard from me after the first time that was suggested.0 -

Developers in 2003-4 have blured the distinction between public highway and the their development. Would have laid it out so the road disappeared to create more parking if they had control of the lot.
Are you sure is a Public Highway - you can only confirm by checking with the local highways authority as ownership may have been transferred in the redevelopment for instance London dockland many old streets extinguished.0
