Thanks kindshark, your post is really informative and I admire your determination to get your order completed (Tesco Direct should send you a flock of Furbies for your perseverance!). Can I ask you which online stock checker you're using? It sounds very useful.

I also feel very sorry for the call staff. They have been the only positive thing in this messy 3 for 2 offer. The call assistants I spoke to were very helpful and friendly, and it really did make a difference. I hope they get a Christmas bonus for all the extra work and stress generated by Tesco Direct's dismal stock control system.

I go to pick up my innotabs tomorrow, my order states partially confirmed. But all 3 are saying "confirmed" if they try and give me 2 i wont move until there taken back off me and i have my money back. When are you getting yours?

what a kerfuffle!

furbies kept going in and out of stock for me online, so i went to store today and picked up 3 of them - no £10 off code but saves a lot of hassle!

Slightly miffed the blue one was £4 or so dearer but thats my parents bought the girls a blue, red & purple one so happy days!:beer:

I was looking on www stockinformer co uk however it only covers certain items, currently Nexus 7 | LeapPad 2 | Innotab 2 | Furby | Wii U | iPhone 5

I found looking on the 'live feed' the best, this was updated as in stock before the tesco website was, it's also interesting to see how often the prices are changed on the items, only by a few pounds/pence but there up and down all the while. I am guessing the site is geared towards what people are expecting to be the hard to get items, I am sure the Wii U was not there yesturday but has now appeared.

Just woken up to an email cancelling 2 Innotabs off my order due to be picked up tomorrow. Leaves me one item of Lego and 3 small items. Very very annoyed

I emailed them on saturday morning, still no response!! I thought I would try to call them and it says there is a 20 min wait to get through on the phone!!! They have only been open less than an hour!!!

If anyone wants/wanted Skylanders on 3 for 2, there is a post on Tesco Facebook page saying that Direct staff will honour it.

I guess that you would have to order on the phone.

amazed, i ordered 2 fisher price ride ons that had been reduced to £15 and a sylvanian cottage that was down to £20 and its showing as dispatched i was convinced it would be cancelled lol

Call Tesco Direct!!. I called yesterday as one of my innotabs was showing as cancelled on my order. I firmly said that I would be expecting my free item. The guy I spoke to suggested that I buy it in store (if available) and they would put a note on my order so that I would be refunded in store after my purchase (long winded I know). Alternatively, he said he would put a re-order in for me for the blue instead free of charge. I have gone for the latter option but will call them again if nothing appears and take the first option. Ultimately, I am going to give them a very hard time. You really do need to be firm and stand your ground but also polite and as nice as you can be to the person helping you - I find this always helps my case. At the end of the day, there is no reason why they cannot honour the 3 for 2 once it's back in stock and the promotion has ended - by tapping a few buttons, they can make it happen on their end.

I will update when I receive the new the new despatch email (or not).

Hey, this is going to seem like a silly question but here we go... If the 3 for 2 promotion finishes 30/10/12 does that mean it will still be on tomorrow or will finish at midnight tonight? Get paid tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll have tomorrow to buy what I need!
