Quick question for gt94sss2 - How much have you earned so far by plugging Talk Talk incessantly in every possible thread and pointing to your signature link ??
Hmm - I think I answered the same question last week somewhere on the boards - the answer is not many.
However, the reason I mention it is because people tend not to read old posts on this board (one of the reasons they keep asking the same questions again and again) hence they are often not aware of it and I think there have been several cases where people have missed out - which is why I now mention it much more frequently.
I should also point out that the thread in my signaure also shows other people offering to refer people to Talktalk as well - so people don't have to go "through me" - in fact I am sure many/most don't!

Thanks for that
Could you please let me know the relative cost of BT and 18866 for 0845/0870 numbers so I can more easily compare. I have looked at the BT site for pricing but I find it very confusing and it looks more expensive!!!
Please could you help clarify for me please
Ta
Yes, its still cheaper to use BT for 0845/0870 calls.
Its also cheaper to join Talktalk (as per my signature) if you make any calls in the evenings/weekend as they are free to landlines for a year.

Could you please let me know the relative cost of BT and 18866 for 0845/0870 numbers so I can more easily compare
---
BT Daytime 0870 - 7.509p/ min
TalkTalk Daytime 0870 - 7.51/min
BT Evening 0870 - 3.749p/min
TalkTalk Evening 0870 - 3.75p/min
BT Weekends 0870 - 1.5p/min
TalkTalk Weekends 0870 - 2p/min
BT Daytime 0845 - 3p/min
TalkTalk Daytime 0845 - 4.5p/min
BT Evening 0845 - 1p/min
TalkTalk Evening 0845 - 1.50p/min
BT Weekends 0845 - 1p/min
TalkTalk Weekends 0845 - 1.50p/min
----
As you can tell BT is cheaper for 0845/0870 numbers - so if you are a TalkTalk customer (or another CPS operator) you should prefix your calls with 1280 to route them over BT.
BT are also cheaper for 0845/0870 numbers than 18866/1899 - in fact BT are cheaper for 0845/0870 numbers than virtually anyone.

No joy with Orange customer services for this tariff as an existing customer. The only way they would let me have it would be to set up a new contract with a new number which I don't want to do.
On the hunt for the best mobile deal now for cross network calls anytime.
Any ideas?
ThanksThanks very much for this info! ;D
I'm not sure I have posted this in the right section but haven't worked out how to change yet! ???
In my quest for getting better phone deals I am reviewing my contract with Orange for my mobile phone. At the moment I am on Anytime 60 at £19 plus a 60 texts at £4. (exclusive of vat). A monthly plan.
For new customers there is a monthly plan Anytime 120mins plus 30 texts inclusive for £15(exclusive of vat)!!
Both include any mobile network anytime.
I will be ringing customer services tomorrow to see if as an existing customer, I can go on this tariff.
If not, can you recommend what I should do?
I will let you know what happens. ::)
Orange Customer services is not functioning at this time of night
Thanks0 -

check out https://www.forwardcellular.com - I signed up with tmem a couple of months ago and they seem to be really good with some great deals - I chose the vodafone sim card option as I already had a great phone.

No 18866 charge 4p/min for 0845 numbers and 9p/min for 0870 numbers (i.e. they are more expensive than BT for these)
These prices are listed on the 18866 website..
Its not possible to dial premium rate numbers on 18866.
I think you will find almost every company like Onetel which offers unlimited calls excludes everything apart from 01 and 02 land line numbers

You sometimes have to dig quite deep into websites but, in my case, the below link (which shows the non-geographic charges for OneTel customers on their [free] StandardUKTalk package) answers at least the first part of your query:with 18866 are calls like 0870 non geographic national and 0845 non geographic local just 1p as well and what are premium rate p7 (0906) charged at and multi media mm4 (0911)? im confused, as companies like one tell do not tell you those numbers arnt encluded.
