Took DD(13) shopping in Leeds and got her five tops - one pair of jeans and one pair of black jean style trousers.
Went to Primark and also to Top Shop and Dorothy Perkins o did not have to spend a fortune - lol!
Treated ourselves to Nando's as DD had never been there before and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Seeing estate agent tomorrow to get my Dad's flat put up for sale.
Hugs to everyone having a bad day."This site is addictive!"

Welcome home MushyPeas!!:D Look forward to reading your posts again.
Smokybabe, thanks for the instructions for saving your pictures:D Only downside is that I'll now have to troll through all your old posts:rotfl:
Loved the snail and tortoise one today:T
Had a fairly productive day, although i have kept nipping back here:o Well I do have a weeks worth of addiction to catch up on:rotfl: Got a smashing 'phone call from my great neice, thanking me for the birthday cake I made for her (chocolate hedgehog) She was more pleased with that than the monetary gift I gave her. Maybe surprisingly, but I'm thrilled about that, shows she's not too materialistic! ( she was grateful for the money, and thanked me nicely, in case I've given a wrong impression) She's a lovely girl, 11 years old, it's her I'm going out with for the day tomorrow.:D
Well I'd best get back to some ironing, need to do my clothes for tomorrow.
Enjoy what's left of the evening.

Welcome back MushyPeas

Dlb sorry to hear about the argument, hope things are back to normal again. Must say when me an DP aren't getting on very well I find I am more productive with other things, probably to keep my mind off it and vent frustration.
GB your days with the DGSs sound lovely, especially the ladybirds, I've only seen one so far this year.
CM she sounds lovely. My neice is 9 and extremely materialistic which I find extremely annoying.
Well I now can't talk, voice gone completely and throat is sore
good thing to some especially the kids, DSs thought was hilarious, asked where my voice was and DS2 said it must have fell out so they'd have to look for it tomorrow :rotfl: bless him, I went to put them to bed and couldn't say bedtime so wrote it down on a piece of paper which DS1 read to DS2. Then they both got in without a fuss, might do this more often. Went to answer phone before and just squeaked :rotfl:
. Thankfully was DP who knew I was struggling a bit earlier but now it's gone all together so texting only for tonight. Ignoring phone if it rings again tonight, they can leave a message as it hurts to try to squeak a hello. Waiting for DS1 to get to sleep then taking some medicine and off to bed, see if I can get some sleep tonight! One day I might be more organised...........

The best place I have found for an abundance of piccies is Photobucket.:T :T
Put something like hugs, hug, good morning or happy birthday in the search bar and then when you find a piccie you like - click on it to get the full size and then right click and copy.;)
I have that many collected over the last couple of years that they are now in seperate folders in 'my pictures' and so easier to find.
Have fun.:D

Hello everyone.
I've not been around for the last 2 weeks as my computer broke and I only managed to get it fixed today.
We've also been away for the last week and returned yesterday. We went to Cambridge and London to stay with family and friends and had a busy, but great time. The weather was sunny and we spent our time mooching around Cambridge, visiting Duxford Air Museum, walking in the woods (via the pub), going into London and we even bought another smaller tent for our summer holidays. :j
We had a lovely time but it was nice to come home. We had a noisy evening last night though as our house alarm decided to go off just before midnight and we couldn't switch it off! The neighbours thought we were still away and loads of them came over to see if we were being burgled!
I tried to change a lightbulb in the bathroom, blew a fuse, which set off the house alarm and it just went barmy! We managed to unset it eventually and a lovely alarm guy came out today and said we needed a new battery in it as the other one was 11 years old.
I've been really busy today as I had 5 loads of clothes to wash, dry and iron. As the weather up here was so nice I managed to dry most of it in the garden, although I had clothes everywhere!
I made a lovely beef stew in the sc and some bread in the bm. I also defosted some turkey in stock (from xmas) and made some pies for next week.
DH was doing some much needed DIY in our bathroom and will need to finish that off tomorrow. The DDs are going to their friends' house tomorrow for lunch so I'm going to creasote our sheds and have a hoover/dust around and anything else i can cram in!
Well that's all of my news and I've really missed my daily visits to the thread. I hope that everyone is happy and healthy and I'll see you tomorrow.

EVE'S SIDE OF THE STORY
After three weeks in the Garden of Eden, God came to visit Eve.
"So, how is everything going?" enquired God. "It is all so beautiful, God," she replied.
"The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking, the smells, the sights, everything is wonderful,
but I have just one problem. It is these breasts you have given me.
The middle one pushes the other two out and I am constantly knocking them with my arms,
catching them on branches and snagging them on bushes.
They are a real pain," reported Eve.
And Eve went on to tell God that since many other parts of her body came in pairs,
such as her limbs, eyes, ears, etc.......she felt that having only two breasts
might leave her body more "symmetrically balanced," as she put it.
"That is a fair point," replied God,
"But it was my first shot at this, you know. I gave the animals six breasts,
so I figured that you needed only half of those, but I see that you are right.
I will fix it up right away." And God reached down, removed the middle breast
and tossed it into the garden.
Three weeks passed and God once again visited Eve in the Garden of Eden.
"Well, Eve, how is my favourite creation?"
"Just fantastic," she replied, " But for one oversight on your part.
You see, all the animals are paired off.
The ewe has a ram and the cow has her bull.
All the animals have a mate except me. I feel so alone."
God thought for a moment and said,
"You know, Eve, you are right. How could I have overlooked this?
You do need a mate and I will immediately create a man from a part of you.
Now let's see.........
Where did I put that useless tit?"
Now doesn't THAT make more sense than that carp about the rib?working hard at this thing called life0
