Morning Everybody :hello:
I didn't do much in the end yesterday, a friend of mine called and we went to "chasewater" a huge park/lake thingy!?! with her DS and dogs. Normally you would walk round the huge lake and watch the people on there doing water sports but as she is heavily pregnant it wasn't a good idea, so we found a bench and the boys just played football and on the park area - oh and we fed the ducks. It was just sooo nice to get out of the house.
Plan for today is not to do much again!! DS friend is coming round again for day and my sister and her 2 kids might be paying me a visit this afternoon (I refuse to do any cleaning until they are all gone!!). Then I'm having my hair cut tonight which is a rare treat for me but it needs doing badly and thought I'd get it done before I go back to work next week - can't believe how quickly its come round
Anyway have a lovely day to anyone that celebrating and hugs to those that want/need them

Morning :hello:
Just a quick one this morning. Not being very OS today. I think I am supposed to be out tonight (reviewing an opera) but the company haven't responded to my email asking for tickets so I will have to phone them and see.
Won't need to cook today because I did so much yesterday and the freezer is chocka. Lunch: pesto chicken pasta. Dinner: probably another portion of the bacon & sweetcorn chowder, which was delicious  As I was dropping off to sleep last night I did a mental inventory of my not very large freezer and realised I have something like 25 portions of reheatable homemade "ready meals" and soup!
scuzz - bet you're looking forward to that holiday! I don't go away much either, last time I went abroad was 4 days in Rome with my best friend and that was 2 years ago. However I have an overnight visit to Paris planned for next month with two friends
Right, must neck down this cup of tea and get moving or I will be late for work.
Love Rzl xx

Good morning everyone,
I have just read everyone's posts and they were lovely to read. Everyone seems positive today - despite the lack of sleep. Scuzz have a lovely time on holiday. (I'm just the teensiest bit jealous as I don't think DS, DD and I will be able to afford a holiday this year.
) Nea9v I've also found that the taxes and fees add a whopping amount to what can appear to be a bargain price for holidays. That's one of the reasons why I won't be having a holiday this year.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with little seedlings all over the place. My dining table is full of onion, tomato and pepper seedlings, the kitchen has carrot and more onion seedlings and the windowsills have freesias. I also have some peppers, potatoes and runner beans sprouting outside. Watering can take quite a while with all that lot.
Well, w**k today then I may do some batch cooking and a little cleaning. As DS and DD are with XDH this week, the house has stayed clean and tidy since I did it last weekend! :j Of course it won't be like that within one hour of DS and DD coming back on Friday but nevermind. I have missed them loads.
Have a thrilling Thursday everyone. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning all:hello:
Sorry I have missed yesterdays thread but hugs & happy birthdays as wished for;)
Well, I am baby-sitting my neighbrs daughter this morning whilst she is at a funeral, her daughter is 5 months younger than Spud so I should have my hands full with 2 toddlers:rolleyes:, think I'll sling them both out in the garden where they can grub around & wear themselves out nicely:D As I need to be organized, I am dressed (a near-personal best at 8am:o), BM is on, WM has done & is hung out, kitchen is tidied-ish (well, enough to get by), bed is made & now I guess I better get Spud up for his scrambled eggs which have been cooling on the coutner for the last 10 mins whislt I checked on hear:o
Not sure about dinner tonight, I need to go shopping so might pick up something as the freezer is looking a bit bare (I, like BR, had a stack of HM ready meals which I have been concentrating on clearing out of my freezer & the sudden emptiness has taken me by suprise). will ahve to sit down & concentrate on this months meal plan whislt the kids are playing.
Finished knittign another Xmas pressie last night & started on another whilst watchign the Apprentice, hubby thinks I am knitting obsessed:p

Morning all
Another full day at work for me today, I worked 9 till 3 yesterday, I should have worked longer but the combination of having no toilet facilites (they are being decorated) & the maintenance crew spraying ant killer around, it all got too much, so I came home. I'll probably do 9 till 3 again today, that should give me time to get everything done & unless someone drops out of tomorrows shift I should have tomorrow off.
I have someone from the Federation of Small Business visiting me tomorrow, so will have to be home for that. Not sure if it is of help to anyone else, but they offer a credit card payment facility that is £200 cheaper than elsewhere. This is so I can take credit card payments, not for me to spend money, lol. As if I don't have enough to do with 2 jobs, a lodger & my telephone job, I'm still pressing ahead with my plans to start my own business. I know my lodger is only here till July at the most & because of where I live, I find it difficult to get a lodger & my 2nd job is on a rolling 1 month temporary contract & could end at any moment. I feel the need to find a more secure income. So when I changed mortgage providers & I had a 2 month payment holiday I used the money to get my self started
I'm not really sure what the credit card deal is, but no doubt I'll find out tomorrow & if anyone wants more details please feel free to pm me.
I hope this post isn;t breaking any rules, if it is, please feel free to remove it & accept my apologies.
Hugs to all
Hester

Morning
Peem checking in, sir! (stands to attention!)
Off to work in a mo. Just scoffed a poached egg, all runny, and gooey, mmm.
CCStar - hugs to you. And to all you others, I've just read yesterday's thread and yet all your names have flown out of my head!
DH was out last night (posh meal paid for by the boss). So I snuggled down with my knitting and "Under a Tuscan Sun" mmm. I wanna do that.. (Buy a grand house in Italy and make friends with the locals, and have an Italian lover, that is. Ain't gonna happen guys. You're stuck with me):D
Chicken with mushrooms and pancetta for dinner. Lunch is prawns.
(Can you tell I'm on another diet - I'm obsessed by food:rolleyes: )
take care and be nice
Oh - for those of you interested (hmm, no show of hands?) DD is potty trained! Yaay. 3 days and then she got it completely. No nappies at night even. I am soo happy. Just about 5 years of nappy changing (DS 5 in may) has come to an end. I'm glad I waited until she was just about 2 1/2."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Morning all
Havent posted for a couple of day as I have been at work and LO has been extremely trying. Her new bed is coming today so hopefully she will sleep in her own bed tonight the delivery guy is phoning me before 10.30 to give me a two hour slot for delivery.
Plan for the day is Think Positive and not loose my temper. She is currently playing happily so thats a start. I need to make some soup for our lunch in aminute and cook a piece gammon for tea. Somewhere in the middle I need to nip to Aldi for some bits and work out how I'm going to make £60 last till next weekend when DH will need to put £40 diesel in. Good job Im doing the
storecupboard challenge.
Later on I need to do some gardening which will keep DD happy as she can play outside at the moment I cant let her out alone as the garden isnt safe hoping to sort that out very soon. WM is on BM is on and Im off to search for the recipe for Bacon and Sweetcorn chowder that Bargin Rzl mentioned sounds yummy
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Today is the day when I finally admitted to myself that there is no longer any skinny Lizzie lurking inside me. I am almost 60 after all and I am rounded and cuddly. I can cycle a fair distance up hills without killing myself and I am very healthy. I am however a plus size now and I have to stop myself from putting a big `sigh` in brackets. I am who I am
so
Today I am going to `do` my wardrobes and I am going to be ruthless. If I don`t feel good in it, then it is out
but
I am going to need a lot of will power. I`ll just have to keep thinking of the good feng shui that will be generated and of all the space I will release on the wardrobe floor
Hope you all have a good day with a bit of `me` time0
