    well in fairness they only smoked in kitchen.but the house only has 2 rooms downstairs so it drifted through.

    yeah i was shocked as well. ( i used to smoke) but i guess u can't make someone not smoke. but i did worry the whole time as although my hubby smokes he isn't allowed to smoke in house or around our children.but i left early because of it.

    scuzz - glad you have a holiday sorted out, the 'impulse' ones are always the best!!!

    Well, im so glad to be home, i love visiting, but its not like home!!!! Spent a lovely day on Tuesday with RonanKfan and her family, they are all really well and we had a great time, hopefully she will come down and see us in the summer, and maybe stay a few days.
    Plans for today - cleaning, sorting and walking into town, but so far all i have done, is stay in bed for half the morning, andim still sat here in my pjs!!! Mind you, im on holiday, so im happy!!!

    Well, better go and do something (a late breakfast i think, before a shower)
    Have a lovely day everyone,

    Morning all.

    My cold is passing now I hope, still feel a bit rubbish and sluggish but did more yesterday.

    Today, going to go to the library to get reading for my holiday. Am going away with a friend to Spain next week for 5 days, her parents have a holiday home there so it's a brilliantly cheap holiday. We are going away together as my OH has won an all expenses paid incentive trip (aka all expenses paid, mens bonding, drinking, knees up) with work, which is the same week. He's so bloomin jammy that man :cool:

    Am also going to do yet more washing, we are out tonight for dinner so just need to acquire a bottle of wine or something to take with us.

    Scuzz - Hope you have a fantastic holiday. There was a travel insurance offer on one of the recent tips emails I think?

    Peem - I LOVE that film, Under a Tuscan Sun. It gives me faith that you can do anything you want to (and hopefully find a gorgeous man along the way :D). Well done on DD's potty training too :T

    Hope everyone has a super day x

    Hi everyone,

    I don't get the chanct to post much on here either, like many of today's posters I'm usually just too busy but I have a day off today so I thought I'd pop in to say Hi.

    Lots of new names on here, and some old ones too. :D

    I am in the middle of re-modelling my lounge at the moment. Decorating, new doors, carpet, suite, etc. Nothing OS there, unfortunately. :eek: Still, it hasn't been done since before DS was born. He's 11 now :o so I think it is well overdue. What would you all say is a reasonable interval to leave between decorating? My neighbours seem to be decorating all the time! At the moment its a new kitchen. A few months ago it was a new bathroom, before that a new ensuite, block-paved drive, garden makeover, conservatory....an endless parade of stuff! It is recycling day here today. There are boxes out there like you wouldn't believe - plasma tvs, home appliances, all sorts (just the cardboard boxes you understand!) :rotfl:

    So, plans for today: update finance spreadsheet - will be scary today but hey, c'est la vie!
    Plant some vegetable seeds - a bit late here I think but they will catch up;
    Go to the shop for stamps and to pay my paper bill;
    Put BM on;
    Hang out washing - 1st load ready & waiting to go;
    Cut grass;
    Chivvy along DS to get on with his homework;
    Sort out a couple of birthday presents for a party DS is going to on Friday.

    Lunch will probably be soup &/or sandwiches - I have some salmon in the freezer so that will be great for tea.

    DS is saving up for a Nintendo WII so he is doing all kinds of jobs for me at the moment. He got out of bed to put the recycling out for collection & put a load of washing on for me, under supervision of course. He has tidied his bedroom and the lounge and will shortly unload & load the dishwasher. I'll see if I can get him washing the car as well. :D Happy days! Lets see if it lasts.

    Have a great day all. (((Hugs))) if required.

    Yay!! Welcome back Churchmouse :j I missed you. :o

    Welcome Old Macdonald icon7.gif

    Hugs to Mrs Mix and anyone else I've missed.

    Slow start this morning after a very late night. :o So just about to get moving.

    Done.... Nothing

    To Do.....Everything. (DW, WM, BM, Beds, Bathroom, Floors and bins.) :rolleyes:

    Have a load of recycling to do then have promised the girls an afternoon of whatever they want to do. I had a lovely evening at my friends last night. Our kids get on so well together that we can sit and chat uninterrupted for hours.:D

    need to think of something simple but stunning for tea tonight. I do not want to go near a supermarket if I can help it.

    Hope you have a good day.

    I was only wondering what had happened to ronankfan the other day :D

    Thanks Haribo!:D

    I've just skimmed yesterday's thread at about 100 miles an hour, and when i came back to today's you'd just posted. :T

    So belated Happy Birthday to pawpurrs, hope it was a good one!:beer:

    Sorry for all those so thoroughly fed up at work, must make every day a struggle, and that's no way to live. ((((hugs)))) to you all.

    Can't remember what else I wanted to say, old age galloping up:o :rotfl:

    CMx

    Remember now, Snowy how did the mot go? Had to look back another day to find out what people were on about:rotfl: I hate mots but at least here, minor things like headlight adjustment can be done on the day by the testing garage. But I bet there's a whole lot more consistency your way.
