The release is November 2nd, don't know where you're going to get one at 8pm tonight.
as stated in a previous post : i stated i did not blame the salesperson as they may not have known .
please read before having a bash0 -
so the fact that I have not so much as taken the lid off the box is irrelevant ?
all guns blazing .. well because I asked them is there any reason this is the only one in the whole of the area, surely your not telling me a company the size of comet doesn't know that the reason there stock is so lacking is because there is a modified model coming out.
well thats my point the 'new' model is priced exactly the same is this item i have bought today Id understand if id payed less for the item
If you were that concerned about having the latest version, why did you not ask if a new version was imminent, particularly at this time of year with Christmas coming. That is something I always ask when buying something eletrical/electronic.
If they say stock is low that really would prompt me to ask the question. I don't really see they have done anything wrong. You asked for an Ipad 3 and that is what they sold you.0 -

The preorder 26th Oct and the release on 2nd Nov are for the iPad mini not the iPad 4, apple haven't announced the date for the 4. They are obviously getting in first due to the nexus 10 rumoured to be announced next week. With all the comparisons they did between the iPad mini and the nexus 7 it looks like Apple are getting a little concerned.0 -
Most people expected Apple to release a new version of the 9.7" ipad every Spring and this early announcement / discontinued product came as a big surprise.
I guess this happens with tech but lots of people feel burned by Apple.

I'd advise against pre-ordering that. That's the iPad mini. Don't want to end up with another unwanted tabletsource is apple.com click on ipad and its in grey writing underneath the picture of the ipad

yes, or the fact ive been suffering from a reoccurence of a dislocated shoulder meaning I will be likely having a second operation, the reference to the half term was the helpful comment of LOL this is funny .0 -
Remember comet are there to benefit their shareholders, they do this by making a profit and generating sales whilst acting within the law. In this case you purchased a product from them and they obliged. The fact you think they should have some kind of obligation to advise you of newer/alternate products due to be released is not logical.
What exactly will you say to them when you phone up and play hell?

Not sure what i'll say , have seen on another forum of a couple of instances where people have had a similar issue and taken it up with apple already and apple are going to arrange replacement for them providing the item they have is in full working order and was purchased no more than 30 days ago.
whether there is any truth in this remains to be seen .0
