Hi Elsie2
Me again.....I sent my original letter to the address on my statements but they forwarded it to the accounts dept. who replied with some of the statements . Ask them for the address of their accounts dept. because you have a query and send to both copying in the other.
I would do it Recorded Delivery as it only costs 0.95p more but you cantrack and trace it through the Royal Mail.....tell them you're doing it for that reason so they could never deny they had received your correspondence and you would have a time and date when it was delivered to them.0 -
HFC only took about three weeks to send me my information. The address I used is PO Box 3607, Birmingham, B3 2QZ. However, I would strongly recommend you check everything when you do get it. I checked mine yesterday only to find that when I made a payment, they did not deduct the full amount from the balance. For example if I paid £32 they only deducted £31.87 from the balance. Unsure what to do about this so have posted a new thread for advice. Proud to be dealing with my debts0

In completing the MCOL site, I wasn't sure which address of my bank to use as they have so many different ones, so I used by local branch. Will this cause a problem?
Someone on the CAG site seems to think it will.
If so, should the Moneysavingexpert site make it clear to new users who are completing the form that the registered office is the one to use?
Also, the CAG site says you need to attach a schedule of the charges and interest, which you can't do online. What is the MSE site's view please?:0 -

No, it shouldn't do. People have successfully claimed using their branch as the address to serve the claim. Also, the CAG site says you need to attach a schedule of the charges and interest, which you can't do online. What is the MSE site's view please?:
You should have send a list of charges to the bank with correspondence prior to the claim. Send another copy to the bank and court.0 -
Hi all,
I am just about to sort out the first letter to LTSB to calculate how much to claim. I have gone back over my online statements (back to Jul 2003) and so far the total charges are £862 with £145 in interest.
My question is, who do I address the letter to, the branch where I opened the account or the Data Protection Dept in London?
Many Thanks

Hi Wayne.
Personally I'd send it to the local branch. They will forward it on anyway but should also update you file with the fact they recieved the letter.0 -
I sent off my Online claim stating my local branch of Lloyds TSB as the defendant. They have not responded and 14 days is up. Have I made a boo boo by suing the local branch and should I do anything further or just apply for judgement by default? Please advise someone!0
