Yes - you need business class 1 car insurance to cover you driving when you are doing MS work.

Some companies put it on for free - some charge a small fee. Just depends on who you are with.
Here I go again on my own....

    Hi,

What about companies that say you don't get mileage because it should be done as part of your normal shop? Couldn't you just be going to the shops rather than driving to town or wherever to do a ms?

I did one of these last month and have decided not to do another one until I'm sure I've been paid.

The rules said I didn't have to get a receipt for drinks if it looked strange and woudl tip off the barman, but it said you should get a receipt for food. The place I was in, it would have looked strange to ask for a receipt for this, so I didn't. Now I'm worried they're not going to pay me. I sent a e-mail asking about it, but no reply yet. Should get a cheque on the 15th September apparently.

Suggested answer: 'Normally you would never complete on the site of an assignment. The only time this would be permissable would be if instructed to do so by the Mystery Shopping organisation, for example when you were doing an audit where you were instructed to reveal your role as a Mystery Shopper.'
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Thank you, I don't even know what an audit is and had submitted my answers before you replied. I just said that you normally wouldn't do it unless you were specifically requested to reveal your identity.
