i mostly do local ones in my town but the furthest ive gone is to cardiff which is approx 18 miles from my house

using hubbys company car usually when we go that far though so dont pay for diesel ;)

i wouldnt go that far to do just one but ive done 2 pub ones on one occasion,5 garages last wkend and im going again tomorrow night but ive got 2 pub / restaurant ones to do and my sister 2 pub ones aswell so its not too bad then for mileage / petrol etc :)

In the past I've done routes that have taken me 120 miles or more (with several jobs on route) Nowadays, with fewer companies paying mileage, I don't do more than about 10 miles unless it's paid for - there just hasn't been the work out there to make it worth my while.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • Wahoo, just had a call from Grassroots offering me 3 more :) Travel between will cost me just under a fiver, but I'll just combine it with things I need to go to those places for anyway. :j

  • Hust my my first mystery shop at a bank. Am thinking of taking on a few more but they are more out of the way....if I did them all in one day (is that possible) then it might be worth it.

I have just read through the brief, lots to remember. Does anyone have any tips on how to remember everything and not miss anything?

Which is the best company for restaurant/pub MS trips?

TNS global and retail eyes in my experience :)

it is a lot to remember sometimes  ,you can always pretend you are txting someone and take notes whilst you are there ;) everyone txtxs these days so it doesnt look outta place lol
  • It may have been mentioned before but if you are self employed (which is how some of the MS companies and therefore the Inland Revenue regard us) you can deduct your travel costs from your earnings to reduce the amount on which you pay tax.

Unfortunately I suppose you should also then make sure that your car insurance is for business use too rather than just social, domestic and pleasure!
