Why dont you call the litigation dept and ask them if they are ready to settle your claim i did this yesterday and they offerd me full amount plus interest at 8% and all court cost. i got letter today to sign and faxed it back to them so give it ago

My claim with Barclaycard has been stayed by my local court.

I have written to them to appeal as Credit Card charges are exempt from current OFT case, but the Judge has written back saying that current case will have effect on Barclaycard case.

I am struuggling to understand this decision as it seems easy to follow

BANK CHARGES = OFT CASE

CREDIT CARD CHARGES = EXEMPT.


I would like to request that the Judge begins theirtraining again as I think they are F**K**G useless.

Any advice?

I was nervous too VERY but they were so nice just say are you ready to settle claim its that easy, do give it a go it will be worth it GOOD LUCK, let us know how you get on

They did this to me and i was going to give up but with help from this site i called there litigation dept and asked if they were ready to settle my claim and they said yes i got full charges asked for and all court cost and they gave me interest at 8% so im well happy give it a go what have you got to loose. Good luck

Did you actually complete a N244 and pay the fee requesting the stay is removed? See Martin's Credit Card Reclaiming article:

The story: Sent all the template letters from this site, filed on Mcol it went to Northampton court then got moved to my local court. After reading a post on this site i phoned Barclaycard litigation dept and they said i would here within 7 days. I phoned again today and spoke to the woman dealing with my case to see if they had looked at my case yet. She said she hadn't but would look at it now and she took my email address and about an hour later i recieved an email offering full charges plus interest and court costs :T .

My advice to anyone claiming against Barclaycard would be to call there litigation dept as the person i spoke to told that they are settling all claims.

Wrote to barclaycard 21 days ago recieved a letter today offering only £242.00 plusd 8% interest which they have credited to my account even though I was claiming about £800. Would like to know if it is worth sending the next letter trying to claim the rest, am worried that barclaycard may close my account as I have no other credit cards and have been unsucessfull in trying to get another one. Has anyone had any simmilar cases ?
