As you can see Barclaycard are the pits for statements, you need to keep pushing them for the information.
  • Before I send my letter containing amount to reclaim, I thought id try & get a few views from those who have had more experience than me.
It is my intention to reclaim just over £1000 from Barclaycard. Should I include the interest on top of this figure ??, has anyone whom has had dealings with Barclaycard gone down this route & to what outcome.
Any views on this subject appreciated

    Hi Everyone,

I'm possibly one of the lucky one's and actually kept all of my credit card statements going back to about 1998.

I'm thinking about putting a claim into Barclaycard for £758 plus interest.

The only thing I'm a bit worried about is Barclaycard closing my account if I claim. I am over my limit of £1100 by about £250. Can they close my account if I claim and demand full repayment, or are they not allowed to do this?

All answers will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank all.

    Hi.
I know you say your over your cedit limit, but think of it this way, you wouldnt be over your credit limit if they kept adding on charges.

as long as your paying money off the card each month then they have no reason to close the account, if you get a threat like that its just that an empty threat, all it is, is they dont want to go to court as they would have to prove actually how much it costs to send a letter, def not the amount they charge us.

dont just think about it go for it, Ive been fighting thme since aug last yr and have issued court proceeding last week, D-day is 11th april.

    Go for it, good luck

Definately claim interest, whether or not you get the interest, if another question, but if you go down the court route you have a legal right to ask for interest at 8%, like my other replies, Ive added on interest and am now on the court route.

depending on what you asked for, just move on to second letter with final warning. wait 2 weeks, then start court claim.
