what address are you using to send letter asking for money back?

    thanks
  • Hi all!
I have sent off letters for claiming charges on a Visa, it was a Littlewoods Visa, which is owned by Barclaycard. I was hoping to claim back £216 & interest, coming to a total of £263.95.
They have written back to me offereing me the difference between the full charges and £12, coming to £48.
Just wondered if anyone else had claimed back through this company, what their experience was like, and whether it is worth my pursuing or to accept the £48? I'm tempted to go the full hog and claim the full hog, but wondered whether this is one of the companies which seem to want you to take them to court over it!
    Thanks!

If you do a search for 'Littlewoods' on this board, you should see if there are any previous claimants.

What you accept is entirely a personal decision, but I can tell you that in the case of Credit Card Reclaiming that many people have been successful in getting the full amount repaid. Also, the vast majority have done so without ever appearing in a court room, although you may need to start a court claim to prompt them to pay up. Please see Martin's Credit Card Reclaim guide for more information.

Two questions, I hope someone can help me.

    1. Can I claim PPI and charges at the same time?

    2. Can you claim for late payment charges too?

Sorry, I am so new to this.. someone please help me!

Yes but I would send them two letters, 1 for PPI and 2 for charges. You are relying on separate issues to reclaim. Misselling for PPI and unlawfulness for charges.

Well not bad, only took them over a month to send my statements, the cheque was only cashed a week or 2 ago mind so i think it just took forever to get there too.

Now i have to go thru all my statements (which only go back to 2004 for some reason??) and total everything up, dunno how well this is gonna go!!

  • Hi all, been a long time since i posted anything here.
I've not bothered proceeding with claims thinking i'd just be fobbed off with rubbish about this whole credit crunch.

Anyway, moving on. I have old credit card accounts which due to charges defaulted and the accounts were passed on to a debt recovery agency.

What i need to know is if i can still claim on them. One defaulted in Feb 2004 and the other one June 2004. I've no longer got any details about these accounts due to moving several times but in order to put in a claim i need the account numbers for those accounts.
How would i go about obtaining the account numbers as now they're with debt recovery the account numbers on letters i've got refer to the recovery agencies account reference for me, not the defaulted account.

Thanks in advance for any help. :j

PS; good news for all bank charges reclaimers today, soon we'll all get our 'stolen' money back.
