I have just started a case with Cap 1.

I got my statements and believed I would be racking up about 300-400 quid. When I finished, I was up at 1250!

Thing is my card is over limit and they keep phoning me asking to pay it off and sending threatening letters. I am out of work and have no money, so this is not possible. At least this will shut them up, as if they pay up, they'll have to clear my balance and send me a cheque for 500 quid. Lovely

hi, i have just reclaimed from them - same situation as you owed 320 on a 200 limit ,due to charges. just made sure i paid the minimum each month which was around 10 pound to keep them off my back. had to take mcol route cause they were only offering me the difference between 20 pound and 12 pound charges.(220 pound!)
yesterday they sent letter - account now clear and a cheque in the post for705 pound!!
total claimed with interest and court cost 1018, nearly 800 more than they offered! stick with your claim and dont accept anything less than you are owed.
    good luck.

    hi
just a quick question, when asking for your statements do you have to write and send a cheque for £10 or can you ring up to get them sent to you free of charge? i'm sure i did read a post somwhere that said you could.
