thanks for letter info, i wrote to cap one customer response dept to request a copy of my charges and ppi payments on the 28 08 08 they sent my details on the 04 09 08 very fast but sent a comp slipand no tter of how to proceed PLUS SENT SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT DETAILS i have rung to enquire as to the status of my complaint and have been hung up on three times and given the addres of the executive office to write to again ......

capital one sent me someone elses details when i requested my charges and cost of PPI still no answer to the question of my refund ive been told to contact Executive office (no phone number)instead of customer contact response dept!

claiming £548.. have many people on MSE gone to ombudsman, before getting paid?

(£210 is difference in the £20 they charged, and the £12 'fair' maximum..)

i assume this is a credit card claim. if so the general advise is to start court action at which time they will refund in full. let us know what card and you can check others who have claimed from them to make sure there not an oddity.

i am in the process of trying to reclaim with Cap One. Sent 1st letter asking for 333.00 and rec'd offer of £40.00:mad: The second template letter has now been posted. The thing is most of the charges im asking for are for the £12.00! Has anybody ever had any success in reclaiming £12.00 charges or am i flogging a dead horse???

cap1 will take it all the way
I am now with the FOS for cap1 I'm claiming £900 they offered me £240 in both first and second letters
Just keep going and go to the FOS if you need to they just offer you a low amount in the hope you will take it and get out of their hair, most cases are won with the FOS

i wonder how many claims each card co are getting.. and if they are worried now that MSE peeps are on their case!

Could anyone please tell me which is the correct address to use for an MCOL with Capital One (credit card account).

I've found contradictory info in this forum and elsewhere on the net regarding whether you use the Nottingham or London address, whether to use the PO Box number or street address, whether to have the bank name as "Capital One (Europe) plc" or "Capital One Services"...

If anyone could tell me the full correct address to use for an MCOL claim I'd really appreciate it because I don't want to mess it up.
