  • That's great thank you x x
  • The offices are US-based so you'll be able to call around 3pm onwards. I've also just been advised by the next local Essense supplier (Bridal Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme) that they have redelivered orders there before in a similar situation which sounds hopeful! Fingers crossed x

having read this thread i think the way they are behaving is disgusting...A friend of mine has just had a call from Dawn the director. She had put down a £1200 deposit on a pronovias gown from one of thier stores, apparantly they have a sample gown in her size and have offered it to her ....as long as she is willing to fork out a further £1200 to them !!!!! how bloomin cheeky!!!
Apparantly anyone trying to claim back money through the liquidators wont be able to do so until 31st october as this is when they officially go into liquidation!!..DO NOT PART WITH ANY MORE MONEY LADIES!!!!..this so called family run buisness is preying on vulnerable brides who will do anything to get thier dream dress.... There are people around who can help you do this without parting with any more money to them!!! How heartless can you get....walk away and find your gown elsewhere.
I feel sorry for all the staff involved who have still not been apologised too or been paid and are unable to pay mortgages or rent and feed their kids while they swan around in fancy cars and attend football matches....its disgusting behaviour how can they live with themselves.

  • Wow looking at their accounts they were not in great shape and were a maximum risk lender.
Hope my £700 goes some way in paying the mortgage on their MASSIVE house. Don't know how these people sleep at night continuing to take money. Lowest of the low.
  • I paid my deposit on my visa debit card and have just rang my bank(lloyds tsb) who have informed me once i get the paperwork to confirm they are in liquidation i can claim the money back off my bank for non receipt of goods. Hope this helps :D

Lloyds tsb is a really good bank if any of you are with them give them a call tell them the situation they should be able to help.

I don't think Nadene deserves to be treated like that she's only tried to help people. At least there are people out there willing to help brides in this situation.

  • Just wanted to let people know my experience. I was due to have a dress fitting at the Chester shop on Saturday and arrived to find it closed and was devastated. However I had a call from Lauren on Sat afternoon to arrange delivery of my dress. It has been delivered today to my future mother in law.
Lauren said on the occasions I spoke to her that they were desperately trying reassure everyone but its a mammoth task and she realised some people were panicking as not heard anything yet.
I really think they're trying to do everything to get dresses to people.

I'm glad you got your dress. The sad thing is think of the bride who ordered her dress on Thursday paying a £1000 deposit the probability of her dress being ordered before they "closed down" is pretty remote I doubt there is any reassuring her at the moment.

I think everyone who has just paid a deposit in the last few weeks might struggle to get their dress unlike the ladies that have already paid in full.

I really hope I'm wrong on that though
