I paid my deposit on the actual day of closure between 3pm and 4pm!! But I see the shop staff didn't know. Pam from the tarleton shop delt with me and she was so lovely. It's just one big mess!! Hope all brides and staff get sorted out. :-(0

I would like to thank the bride for starting this as it enables all our brides as well as staff to air their greviences. I and I speak on behalf of all staff, hope you all get sorted soon, as for us who knows !!!!0

I just hope they do the right thing, apologise and admit that we won't be getting our dresses then we can try and do what we can to get another dress in time!
Feel so sorry for all of you, like I said in an earlier post all staff I dealt with at the 3 shops i went to were so helpful and lovely! Just hope you get an apology and your money too.0 -
I feel so sorry for the staff, I ordered my dress at the chester shop and the staff were so lovely and helpful. I think the fact that their own employees are not receiving their wages speaks volumes. I very much doubt we will receive our deposits back if they cant afford to pay their own staff.0

having just read the post from the bridal gallery director i would like to ask for some honest answers instead of sob stories about why you have closed and half hearted intentions to help!
Were do i stand on an order that has not been placed by you but have taken a deposit from me????? I have telephoned a supplier direct who has told me if my order has not been placed my money has gone? I feel so angry and let down-how could such a highly established award winning, family run business let this happen?????
With regards to communication from the company, i wont hold my breath and advise others the same. I have dealt with this company in the past and this is definitely not one of their strong points unless it is for their own benefit they seem to go into hiding and do not reply.
They say they intend to send letters to customers and suppliers next week but to tell me something that i have found out myself from a simple phone call certainly does not suffice.
Judging by the way they have treated their loyal staff at all stores i.e by informing them the night before they were due into work and two days before their pay day that they where to close only highlights their ignorance and total disregards for personal feelings.
A rumor that two of the directors attended a football match in liverpool yesterday further highlights their complacent attitudes and where their feelings really lie.

I've bought a dress from the Preston store paid my deposit in May, I have been speaking to the designer directly so hopefully there is a way forward (I get married in 5 weeks) however the reason for my post is I actually work very near to the Prestin shop so thought I would have a look this morning (morbid curiosity) and I happened to stumble upon the removal group acting on behalf of the the liquidators. They are called Begbies Traynor based in Liverpool, I hope this helps someone.0

Thanks for the update's Nicolag81 - is that the liquidators you're referring to that haven't been officially appointed yet? Do you know who the company are (I'll call the removers below if you're unsure).
I've just spoke to my insurers and nothing will be paid until the company have been registered as liquidated. But, if I order the dress at the other store I've found it in and they finally deliver mine in a couple of months - then I can't claim again and I'm out of pocket! DILEMMA aaarggghh!0 -

Apparently because they are still saying that they're going to "try" to get dresses to brides whose deposits have been paid we still can't go through insurance, even with a liquidators name. Not heard this officially though so if someone could get in contact with liquidators I'd be very interested to hear what they said!0
