URGENT: Any Bridal Gallery Group brides (north west)?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for any brides (of which I'm one) who have ordered bridal and/or bridesmaid dresses from "The Bridal Gallery Group" which has bridal stores in Tarleton, Preston, Liverpool and Chester, my friend rang me today after seeing something on Facebook to say that it's gone into liquidation/bankruptcy and had closed its stores today!!!
There's a message on their website apologising and saying that they HOPE to fulfil orders, but from what they've said it doesn't sound good.
I was absolutely devastated when I heard as id ordered my dress and all accessories from there, paying half the total cost, just a couple of months ago! Have emailed then but just received a generic response.
They obviously haven't contacted brides yet so I wanted to post on here to inform any brides who don't already know!
Just hope we can get our money back or get it through insurance! Thank god I took advice off all the lovely brides on here and got some!

Ordered mine in July paying £600 deposit! It's not sounding like we'll get anything back as I doubt my dress would have arrived in the shop yet. If you paid by credit card you may be covered, I didn't! But I've got insurance, so if the worse comes to the worse I should be able to claim off that. Try emailing them to ask what to do.0 -
Hello
This is just beyond a joke!! I put £200 down for a brides dress the day before all this happened!! What a con!! Noone is answering the phone or replying to emails!! Just don't know what to do? :-( :-( :-(0 -
Hi girls, I spoke to Dawn (one of the directors)
Last night as she was leaving tarelton shop, they have apparently took out all the brides gowns to to a secure unit and will be contacting the brides to arrange collection (may not be true)
I had nearly paid for my dress that I ordered in august (they knew in July they were going under) They must have known for a long time that they were in big money troubles yet still took our money! I doubt they even ordered my dress.
If you paid by c card you will be covered and if you paid by visa debit card you may be able to claim it back as the company went into liquidation and is known as none receipt of goods. Contact your bank.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info. I can't believe they knew in July that they were going under  I may be covered by credit card but i have 4 weeks to go and possibly no dress. My 2nd fitting is supposed to be on wednesday.0 -

Thanks for the info! Have been a couple of times today and no sign of anyone! I can't believe they knew in July and still took people's orders! These people are the lowest of the low and have completely ruined many brides day! I've met so many brides in tears today when I've nipped to see if anyone's there. It's just not fair x0 -
This is just disgusting!! I hope we all get sorted out :-(. What goes around comes around...!0

I just had a phone call from the Liverpool Branch, Dawn i think her name is. She was really helpful and very apologetic and is delivering my dress early next week. The liquidaters have said that because i have paid for the dress it is now my property so it is with the rest of them at the secure storage place. I'm so relieved but won't be able to relax until my dress is with me.
The bridesmaid dress we aren't sure of because i had only paid half of it. She is going to check in the storage place tomorrow. If its not there then i will just have to find another one, i paid on my credit card so should get my money back.
I hope all the brides-to-be get answers soon, but from what i've heard the ladies at the shops are trying their best in a crappy situation.0 -
Venus Bridal are one of the designers that your gowns may have been ordered from. Unfortunately we were left to find out about The Bridal Gallery Group in the same sad way that you all found out.
Whilst the announcement on The Bridal Gallery Group states that they are in touch with their suppliers, I am sorry to say that we have heard nothing from them despite many, many attempts.
If you have ordered your gowns with any of their stores and your gowns are Venus please feel free to visit our website and send a message. This message will come directly to me and you will certainly not receive a generic reply from us. I will reply to any Bride directly and we will do everything we can to make certain that you receive the Venus Gowns that you have chosen or ordered.
We are here to help and whilst we expect some form of communication from The Bridal Gallery Group we will not allow their actions to spoil your big day.
Please do not worry, we have other Venus Bridal Stockists who are more than happy and capable of helping us and you will not be let down.
For any Brides in the Preston area we have Crystal Eternity, an excellent store in Preston and they will take delivery of your gowns on our behalf and they have a wonderful team of seamstresses ready to fit and alter your gowns. Crystal Eternity also have a store in Burnley and their business is very secure, they will not let you down. For Brides in Liverpool we are in touch with a new store who are more than happy to help. The same goes for Lancashire and Tarlton.
Please try not worry and rest assured that you have the full and complete backing of the designers of your gowns.
We are so sorry that you have been put in this position and we are doing everything in our power to attempt to get the Directors of Bridal Gallery Group to communicate in a professional manner.0
