  • That's great news!! Bet you're relieved now!!! X

Yes I am, hardly slept last night, will just have to wait till Thursday then I can relax fully. Hope you manage to get your dress sorted also. :)
  • I would like to express my feelings too ! I am so desperately sorry for all you lovely brides and I hope you all get sorted out because you don't deserve any of this.
I however am one of many loyal staff that has also had the shock of her life when told on Thursday night not to bother going back to work. I would like to let you all know that we had absolutely no idea what was happening to this so called caring family business !!!!!!! We where due to get paid yesterday but as you can imagine this has not materialised, there are many families lives that have been put into impossible situations !
Not once have we had any official apologies from YOU Bridal Gallery Group . I don't know how you all sleep at night !!!!

If The Bridal Gallery cannot pay their staff wages, how on earth do they expect to fullfil orders for brides dresses? Stating they don't want to leave brides high & dry - but they have done just that with their own staff........
I ordered my dress a few months ago, and we paid almost £500 deposit.
How can we be sure our deposits & orders have even gone to the designers?
I would much rather find a new dress from a new store and have plenty of time to do so, than wait till next year on a "promise" I will still get my dress from a supplier which has closed all its stores.

Apparently a dissolution notice was issued in July for this company!

  • omg, I have no idea what to do in this situation. I have contacted my bank but I paid by visa debit and not credit card so no idea if I am going to get my money back. I ordered my sophia tolli dress in May and paid 50% deposit I have contacted Sophia Tolli via FB to try and find out the status of my order. I don't trust that the shop will follow through with orders especially those that were not due to arrive into store until Feb/March. I have 7 full months until my wedding and I need answers, I need my money back so that I can order another dress from another shop. This is a nightmare - I am not going to let them get away with taking my money - I have also contacted the Ferret TV programme to see if they can help.

  • What about all of your loyal staff????? We have had NO FORMAL APOLOGY offany of the Directors. They have left us in an impossible financial situation, not knowing what will happen to us. We had a phone call late on Thursdayevening, told not to come in to work on Friday and was also told our monthswage due to be paid ONLY TWO DAYS LATER on Saturday 20th was not going tohappen. We are in total shock this has happened. I feel devastated for all ourbrides. If you can pay suppliers why can't you pay our wages!!! Absolutelydisgusting treatment after many years of service

I feel so sorry for you all, I went to 3 of the shops when choosing my dress and everyone I dealt with was so lovely and helpful!
It seems that the directors don't care about thur staff or brides. I've emailed them countless times and heard nothing personal back, no reply to my questions on here and there's been nothing on their website to update us since yesterday morning!!
Can you be sure they paid suppliers? A few have suggested they haven't! So if that's true then brides who paid deposits are extremely unlikely to ever get their dresses, or money!

There was also a dissolution notice in July 2011, but it looks more connected to do with non-filing of accounts on time more than anything else.

I am somewhat confused as to whether they are in administration or liquidation though

You can claim back on visa debit it's nine receipt of goods. You have to contact your bank and they will let you know what to do.

Can we do this yet though? They're still not saying that we definitely won't get our dresses, instead they're saying they're "hoping to get them to us". I don't really want to wait around for an answer, I can't afford to with timescales involved but can you claim if they've still not said the words "you're not getting your goods"?

Does anyone know if we can claim our money back even if the shop says they will still get our dresses to us?
I really don't feel comfortable waiting until next Feb/March to see if I recieve my dress...........
