Great - have the liquidators name now and will be calling at lunch!
Thanks x0 -
I've just spoken to a lovely lady at Sophia Tolli who was very helpful and sympathetic to us all! After giving her my details she could tell me that my dress had been ordered (thank god)! And was due in in December. They're waiting to speak to their manager who is in later as to whether they will send our dresses direct to us, or the more likely option of sending it to another bridal shop.
Am not sure what is happening with deposits yet, will ask that later but at least it looks like dresses were ordered!
Her number, for any Tolli brides, is 01954 232 102 (select Mon Cherie when asked). I think her name was Sarah.0 -
In the southport visitor article they claim staff were made redundant! As far as I am aware in order to be made redundant there is a process that has to be followed. "Don't come in to work tomorrow" is NOT being made redundant. More shameful lies??0

Just seen this update on their website:
UPDATE 22nd Oct 11.00: Letters have now all gone out, if you don't receive one in the next few days then please contact us via this website. With regards to people asking about using their bridal insurance, this will be possible however as this all happened so suddenly the Administrators haven't yet processed everything which would enable your insurance to pay out.
Can you all please beware of offers of help/information on the internet and just check the offer is genuine and accurate. We have had multiple brides contact us now who have received bogus information as well as reading incorrect information about us.
We have delivered over 30 dresses this weekend so far, with over 20 planned for today and a lot more in the coming few days. We are working as hard and as fast as we can to sort all brides out but understand some have still yet to get an answer from us, we apologise for this and will get to you as quickly as possible.

hi all I have contacted sophia tolli today 01954 232102 and the lady was really helpful fortunately my order was placed so the supplier is going to deal with me directly. not sure about the money side of things tho because sophia tolli haven't had any money. I am in the process of trying to get my money back via the bank as there is some way if you paid by visa debit. hope this helps anyone else.0

I also spoke to them this morning (see a few posts above) so at last a bit of good news for Sophia Tolli brides. According to the latest 'update' from Bridal Group Gallery I don't think we can go through the banks or insurance yet, we have to wait until they've officially gone into liquidation. Let us know if the banks think differently tho.0 -
If The Bridal Gallery cannot pay their staff wages, how on earth do they expect to fullfil orders for brides dresses? Stating they don't want to leave brides high & dry - but they have done just that with their own staff........
I ordered my dress a few months ago, and we paid almost £500 deposit.
How can we be sure our deposits & orders have even gone to the designers?
I would much rather find a new dress from a new store and have plenty of time to do so, than wait till next year on a "promise" I will still get my dress from a supplier which has closed all its stores.
Apparently a dissolution notice was issued in July for this company!
I am a bridal shop owner near Preston and have been watching this thread and can offer some help to those who have been left devastated by this closure. I can only imagine what you are going through and really feel for you all.
I also feel that I need to say, that the deposits that are paid do not go to the designers when the order is put in and that you may all have to pay in full again, then re-claim your deposits either from your wedding insurance or your credit card company. I only say MAY as IF the Bridal Gallery Group do indeed come through with your dress then you should only have to pay your balance.
If your dress is sent to another shop independent of TBGG then the designer will ask that shop for full payment.
If I can help in any way, whether it is just to have your alterations done or to try and get your dress delivered to my shop then please contact me. I am an independent trader and have no connection what so ever to TBGG. I am Especially For You at Longridge near Preston 01772 785334.
Good luck to you all, I truly hope you get your dream dress in time for your big day.0 -

I can't really help any of you as I'm not in the bridal industry, I do however have a few veils and tiaras and one dress that I'm not going to use if anyone would like them?
It's an awful situation to be in I don't know how people can sleep at night. I'm glad I bought my dress in a sample sale and took it away that day!
Massive hugs

Hi Dawn,
I keep trying Essense but am still getting their answerphone (I've left a message). I believe their hours are slightly different because of the Aus time difference so was advised to try after lunch. I don't believe the UK number is actually based there though as I tried during Aus standard hours early this morning (I work with Aus a lot so understand their hours in comparison to ours).
I'll give them another call now so will be sure to keep you updated! x0
