  • I've have had letters and emails all say to contact the liquidators which say can't help us. The bridal retailers association can only help those people who bought a dress after may 12 and who registered their dress thru the correct channels. Check out their Facebook page for more info! By the sounds of it no matter what u paid ull have to pay something again. I paid in full and am having to pay again:-(

    Hello

I just want to say how fantastic Nadine is, a lovely caring person with a passion for what she does!! I visited 'The Bridal Boutique by Dream Capture' in Blackpool today and it was a great experience...Nadine had soooo much time for me and my bridesmaids (even after arriving 30mins late). I have been affected by 'The Bridal Gallery Group', paid a deposit and dress not ordered. Nadine has bent over backwards this week...regular update phone calls, got my Sophia Tolli dress as a sample in less than 24 hours AND, it cost her! and ensured my dress was affordable with offers! Nadine has worked out of hours in order to get my dream dress!!!! I had to travel an hour and it was definitely worth the distance! I highly recommend that brides visit 'The Bridal Boutique' to meet Nadine, especially if affected by 'The Bridal Gallery Group', she is genuine and really wants to help us!!!! A big thank you once again Nadine, you are a superstar and have an amazing business! :j
  • Did anyone get given a leaflet or phone number to register for the bridal association dress insurance? Answer are not coming quick enough and what we are being told is inconsistant.
  • CLOSURE OF THE BRIDAL GALLERY GROUP
Regretfully one of our members has called in the administrators and many brides are left wondering about the status of their orders. The British Bridal Retailers Association is working closely with the administrators in an effort to minimise inconvenience to brides and to get accurate information to those customers who have paid a deposit on their gown or have paid it in full and were awaiting delivery.
The Bridal Gallery Group joined our association in May 2012 and since that time have been able to offer their brides, free wedding gown/bridesmaids dress insurance. To activate this insurance, brides will have had to call our insurance partners on the telephone number given on the leaflet their retailer should have provided. If they did not call and register their purchase, they are not covered under this scheme.
Brides who purchased their gowns before May 2012, and therefore before the Bridal Gallery Group became association members are not covered by our scheme.
Nevertheless we will make every effort to secure the best possible outcome for all brides and will work with the administrators and suppliers to achieve this.
Once full information has been given to us by the administrators as to how many brides have been affected and which suppliers are involved, we will post further information on the way forward.

Sorry for everyone who is affected by this awful news. If we can be of any help whatsoever in what ever way please do not hesitate to contact us. We are Special Daze, 46, Albert Road, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 6JT, 0151 4202798 open Wed to Fri 10am till 5pm and Sat 10am till 4pm website specialdaze.com. Every bride receives free wedding attire insurance from us up to the value of £1000. We can get any Mark Lesley, Romantica, Venus or Benjamin Roberts gown and just to try to reassure all the brides who have been let down, we have been trading from the same premises for the last 30 years, have a very healthy business and proud to say that we do not owe a penny to anyone, if you would like to phone the designers to check us out I know that they will vouch for us as we are often told by them that we are one of the most prompt payers that they have on their books. There are very many excellent bridal shops out there and no bridal retailer wants to see this kind of thing happening to any bride I'm sure you will all find that in circumstances like these bridal retailers will all pull together and do our upmost to make sure that your dream wedding gown is received. We only found out today from a frantic bride on our phone which has not stopped ringing all day, fortunately we have managed to help three brides so far and hope we can help more of you xx

I don't have my dress from here but have been reading the thread and can't believe you would post such a glowing report when you can clearly see what other brides are going through.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Arrived home late lastnight to a letter from Begbies Traynor, the consultants that the BGG have appointed.

It says "the company is insolvent and there is to be a meeting of creditors next Wednesday 31st October to confirm the liquidation".

They go on to say how the directors are anxious to ensure that you receive delivery of your dress (rubbish)! They're going to send out a copy of the report and more details after the meeting, so at least we have a definite date for liquidation now.
  • Hi, could any of the bridal shops on here help me please? As I only ordered my hoop for my dress 4 weeks ago, that did not come with my dress when my dress was delivered. I need to get a new one, but I am unsure where the best place to get one from? I have heard that some bought online can make your dress look like a lampshade, which I do not want. I only need the hoop so i have room to walk, so don't need a big one, its for an A Line Sophia Tolli Dress. Anyone that could help I would be greatful, thanks x
  • hope you all get things sorted best of luck for your days
