URGENT: Any Bridal Gallery Group brides (north west)?

Hi have you tried calling Essence? I have and apparently they are making a decision about what to do regarding our orders. Hoping to hear something this week. Saying that they weren't hopeful that the bridal gallery had even placed my order. They took my money 6 days before they closed the shops x0

I spoke to a lovely lady at Alfred Angelo today who was very helpful. Like some of the other designers, they are honouring orders: either shipping to a new store or selling direct (at wholesale prices).
If they haven't been paid for the dress, you will have to pay for it but, hopefully, will be able to claim whatever monies you paid the Bridal Gallery back from insurance or credit card. If you have the dress shipped to a new shop, you will have to pay whatever retail price they are charging. We have opted for buying direct from the designer - cheaper but no alterations included and no possibility of returning the dress if there are any faults.
My daughter's wedding dress had already been shipped to the Chester store so we're just waiting to hear from the Bridal Gallery about that. I emailed them late last week and received a reply over the weekend, though no concrete agreements on delivery dates or information on the bridesmaids dresses. Our concern is that there is still some money owing on my daughter's wedding dress and we don't know whether that means the dress is secured or not.
To be honest, I hadn't realised how tight the margins are, certainly on the bridesmaids' dresses. Buying wholesale is cheaper but not nearly as much as I would have expected and you do lose all of the after-sales services (e.g. alterations)
So far, so good. Keeping fingers crossed for all of you that are still waiting for some news.0 -

Glad to hear your designer is being helpful as Sophia Tolli point blank refuse to deal with me directly and don't care that other stockists are selling the dress I had ordered but at a fair few hundred pounds more. I have been to another store but they just want my money are were not helpful and I just don't want to deal with people like that - so it looks like this bride-to-be will not be wearing her dream dress on her wedding day -thanks Sophia Tolli.0 -

I don't think the designer deserves your money now go somewhere else because a lot of the designers have similar dresses so their loss hun.

Have you tried speaking to the British Bridal Retailers Association? They've been posting about this on their website and facebook page. I emailed then spoke to a man called Gordon who was disgusted with Sophia Tolli for the way they are dealing with this. Might be worth emailing him to see what he says, the address is: info@britishbridalretailersassociation.co.uk or put a message on their facebook page.0 -

Tried emailing but it just bounced back! Correct address is nwt@bbc.co.uk
Hopefully if we send our stories in then people will realise that what the Bridal Group Gallery are saying about doing whatever they can to help their brides get their dresses is rubbish!0
