HELP!!! does anyone know how I can get in touch with the shop or owners, we have been to the shop but no one is there!
Hi, my sister gets married on the 28th jan 2013. 2 months ago we ordered 3 bridsmaid dresses. The 1st bridsmaid dress was paid in full at £225.00, 2nd bridesmaid we left a deposit of £112.50 and the 3rd bridsmaid dress was also paid in full of £250!!! We have contaced Dessay and they have recieved an order for 2 dresses but not the 3rd which was a maternity dress. They wont dispatch the dresses as the BGG hav'nt & wont pay for them.
Can anyone offer any advice or support?
They have taken all this money off us, its tterrible ;-(.
NO DRESSES & NO MONEY FOR ANYMORE!0 -
Firstly I would like to say how sorry I am that the brides are having such a distressing time and are obviously stressing out about whether they will get their dress in time and whether they will get any money back. We have spoken to a lot of you over the last week and as you know we have managed to sort your gowns out in conjuntion with the designers we deal with.
Please don't panic, contact another shop who deals with the same designer and they will be able to help you. We are an independent retailer and have been around many years and will be for many more and it is such a shame that something like this damages the reputations of bridal shops in general.
We are also very sorry for all the staff who lost their jobs without warning they must be gutted. I hope you find something else soon. xx0 -

OK Ladies, I was ripped off by a bridal shop in Kent, and the team at Country Brides of Faversham moved heaven and earth to get my dress. They work with Dessy and Alfred Sung Bridal , so may be worth a try. The Dover store is the contact for them.
Alfred Angelo stockists will be able to track an order for that Alfred Angelo bride.
My advice after it all went wrong for me, is find YOUR local stockist of the brand your ordered with, they will and help out as much as they can.
Keep strong, and good luck. I got my dream dress from Mon Cheri in the end, and it wasnt even a brand the team normally deal with but exceptional Circumstances meant they were able to help. Designers are just as mortified and horrified as we are.0 -

Hi Crusty,
I don't know whereabouts you are but I can very highly recommend Nadene at the Bridal Boutique by Dream Capture in Blackpool.
She's been a great help with chasing up my bridal gown purchased from BGG and has also helped track down my tiara and helping with veil. She's been amazing!
Just looked on her website and she's a Dessy stockist so may be worth a call to her to see what she can do.

BGG didn't pay any of my deposit to the designer, so my money must have gone straight in their pockets! Having to pay my deposit again, then balance but Nadenes been great and has given me discounts and free accessories to help with the cost.
Will hopefully be able to claim deposit paid to BGG through insurance eventually.0 -

Was your dress in the store? According to a lot of people on here and BGG, if it was in the store and you've paid in full then you should get it. Mine wasn't due in til Dec and they hadn't paid the designer anything.
I have found out that my tiara was sent to the store in Sept, so they should at least get that too me but I'm not holding my breath!!!0 -

Unfortunately i dont think my dress was in store and i stupidly paid in full on visa debit with zero insurance! the liquidators arent much help either i called them and they confirmed that i did pay in full for the dress but couldnt say whether that meant i would actually get the dress they just kept saying that they had to call the directors whatever that means. i contacted dessy about my bridesmaids dresses and they never received the order so ive no hope of getting them now. im just clinging onto a hope that as Ellis have my order and i have paid in full that i will get them. but i doubt it especially as you paid a deposit and arent even getting that passed to your designer which totally goes against what BGG have stated to me by email (which i have posted previously). they stated in that email that if a bride paid a deposit only the remainder needed to be paid but obviously that isnt happening0
