  • Just been In touch other bank and I am covered to recover money under section 75 for my credit card and I can use Visa Chargeback legislation for the monies pairs using my visa debit card. What we need is the official announcement of liquidation/administration and then I can crack on and try and reclaim all the monies.
  • Hello all.. this is terrible. i heard first thing saturday morning and spent a good couple of hours waiting for someone to turn up to no avail.

In august i put a deposit on my dress but we agreed to order it in the new year. there have been no message of confidence from tbgg for the girls who have paid money but don't have a dress in the system!! Im at a loss!!

So disappointed with todays letter. it tells us nothing more than the message on their website!

As I am sure many of you are now aware, many of you have sadly lost a lot of money.

It is true what you are saying about one of the directors attending football matches.

Funnily enough (Text removed by MSE Forum Team) one of the Directors who often bigged himself up on another forum; a car site based around Vauxhall Corsas, under the alias of 'Cosmo' was as far as he was concerned, running the ship.

You will find a lot of information about his lackadaisical approach to finances on the corsasport forum where he often tried to fabricate false financials about the club he supports - Liverpool.

It's of no surprise to me that someone with that financial outlook in life has ended up in that situation but as is often the case, I suspect the company will come back in another form as the family isn't short of a few quid.

Sadly, many of you on here, brides or former staff, will be hit hard. The family will not be. Many people on that forum had reservations about him bigging up his own lifestyle. Last I knew he was going out with a member of his staff? :(

I wish you all the best of luck and whilst I understand you are gutted about your dresses, I hope you look at the bigger picture that is your wedding day. In years to come it will not be the dress you talk about, just the experience of the day. :)

Good luck to you all. :T
  • Hi, I ordered my gown at the Chester branch. I have already paid 1000 deposit. Does anyone know who the liquidators are? I think I need this to get my money back n my credit card.

I am going to eternity bridal in warring ton tomorrow. They were really helpful when my mum spoke to them earlier today. X

    Hi all

I have just received my letter tonight about Bridal Gallery. Gutted!!!

Just wondered if anyone else has possibly(who knows) placed an order with Ellis? I ordered mine on 1st Sept and paid half with Preston Branch but has it made Ellis?

Does anyone have a contact number for Ellis? So I can see if my order has been made. If not I will have to reorder and wait for money back.

Hi there. I placed my order (well I hope my order is placed) with Ellis. I sent an email to them at info@ellisbridals.co.uk
Someone emailed back within 10 mins to ask me not to worry they are totally aware of the situation and will confirm my order has been received today!! At least they acknowledged me straight away unlike bbg!!! Hope this helps. There is an address and contact numbers on Ellis website too xx:mad:

My daughter gets married in May next year and she ordered her dress and bridesmaids dresses in the Tarleton branch of BGG, we have spoke to Ellis Bridal who have been very helpful and confirmed that her dress has been ordered and they will send it to a shop of her choice, however we have not yet contacted Dessy (Alfred Sung) as they are in New York. Has anyone else dealt with them yet? She paid the full amount for the bridesmaids, so in my mind she is the rightful owner of the property IF THEY HAVE BEEN ORDERED?
She has had a letter off BGG but it is no more than what is says on their website, the CC company will not start any action/refunds until BGG have officially declared liquidation. So we wait, as I am sure all you brides are and it's so frustrating and annoying.

Just noticed this on BGG website

UPDATE 24th Oct 9.00: After speaking with a large number of suppliers and brides over the last two days, the best way we can help all brides is to help you work either directly with the bridal designers, or through one of their other local suppliers, to obtain your dress as intended. This will enable you to receive the level of service you expected when you first purchased your dress.
We will be finalising over the next few days what each particular designer would rather their brides do, either work directly or with another supplier, and will contact each bride directly to give you more specific details. We will also post this information on here as and when we have it.
Of course you can also decide to fully cancel your order and obtain a refund for your deposit either through your bridal insurance provider firstly, or through your credit/debit card provider. We are awaiting final details on the process for each of these methods from our Administrators and credit card processors, and we will inform anyone who wishes to do so as soon as possible.
As we have continually stated, our aim has been to make sure we can provide the dress you ordered as intended with as little upset and inconvenience as possible, and we are still pushing forward with attempting to do so.
  • Unfortunately we do not stock any of the labels but we are sure all the designers will do there best to ensure all dresses are sent out in time for your big day.

We do know an independent seamstress in the blackpool area that may be able to help if needed. If you require any help that way give us a ring on 01253 932940 blush bridal boutique

  • I have just been over to the Tarleton branch at midday andall the dresses have gone. There is nothing in any of the windows now and I couldsee through the window that all the bridesmaid dresses that they had in assamples are gone. The whole place looks ransacked!

I just wish that I could speak to a human being.. this isterrible.

Has anyone seen the front page of the Lancashire EveningPost today – we have lots of coverage on the situation!
