Hi everyone, I'm on the 5th so really not long to go. I am really sorry I haven't posted much, I have had so much to do and if I'm honest this post scares me! All the things people have done and I haven't got round to doing yet lol!!
Have finally booked the car (2 exec taxis for £60, much better than the original quotes of £400+)
Sorting out the final bits now, going to stay with the MIL this weekend (she is near the venue) to finalise numbers with the venue, see the florist etc.
Think I might have my shoes sorted (now own 5 pairs!!, all from ebay though)
Got budget versions of the personalised hangers, about 3/4 quid, not very MSE but think everyone will like them.
Lots more to do, not very much time to do it in!!
Hope everyone is doing ok and things are working out. I will def come on here once back from honeymoon and support others/post ideas etc as hopefully will have more headspace then xRecently married and loving it x0 -
Hi nightsky
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has struggled to find the right shoes
I've also tried to unplug from reading too much about weddings, etc online as it can mess with your head a bit!
Sounds like you're getting on well though, so good luck!£2 Saver's Club 2012 #2370 -
I'm getting married on 11th October and we have only had since mid August to plan.We have both been married before so only wanted reg.office.As most people,we have limited budget and discovered it cost an extra £150 to get married after 11am mon-fri and more if wanted registrar to attend different venue.Hence 10am wedding.Wedding dress bought £59 in monsoon sale,2 bridesmaids-ebay for 6yr old dress and debenhams sale for daughters.Pageboy on ebay £10 for 5 piece brand new suit.Best man, groom using existing suits.DIYinvitations from wedding chicks just jazzed up with stick on jewels.Friend doing evening buffet and decorating 2 shop bought white pre-iced cakes. As wedding sooo early going to local restaurant for close family meal.Using own car(merc s class)for bridal car and close family travelling in own cars/people carrier to venue. In total hoping wedding comes in close to £500 mark.
Sister and her hubby doing photos and just need rings now.Anyone got ideas were I can get cheap bespoke band as engagement ring unusual shape.0 -

Wow you are doing really well. Re rings no ideas re places to go but my top tip would be to negotiate, we saved loads on our rings.
My wedding is on Sat so I'm signing off for now. Everyone have wonderful weddings you will all look beautiful and it will be fantastic xRecently married and loving it x0 -
We've had sine June and I though that was quick!
We are mostly sorted for Saturday, just a have slight issue with the women who has taken over as the events manager at the hotel. She seems unable to read an email and has asked us 3 times how we want the wine split...despite us giving it to her on the bottom of the table plan and telling her this twice!! OH is phoning her tomorrow (he tried to phone today but apparently she only works 9 -2). She also forgot what coloured napkins we wanted despite writing it down when we went to pay! TBH if she had been working there when we had been looking we wouldn't have booked there!
Oh well I am sure it'll be fine! Just need to stop stressing!!
Good luck everyone else getting married this week and enjoy your day :beer:0 -
It's almost mid way through the month so I hope that everyone who has had their wedding had an AMAZING time and good luck to everyone whose wedding is still to come!
Still just over two weeks for me £2 Saver's Club 2012 #2370 -
Oh my god!
I can't believe in two weeks time it will all be over and I'll be on honeymoon. Everything is moving so fast and work is so completely hideous that I am not able to enjoy the run up as much as I hoped I would. Hope everyone has had the most amazing day and all the very best to everyone in the next couple of weeks xx0 -
That's it all over!....how do I post pictures??
Congratulations to everyone who has already been married, and best of luck to those still waiting! XxAll you need is less0 -
