    my last letter to Abbey was " pay up or i'll take court action". they have again with what sounds just like a standard letter. They say soory to hear u are not happy we'll investigate and reply within 8 weeks! are they actually reading my letters about unlawful charges or just trying to stool?
    should i now file with court? |HELP, i'm really worried abput court action!!

    txs,:confused::confused:

    Standard letter I'm afraid from Abbey so you need to carry on with your next step or try giving them a ring.

    Now I have sent them my charges and have asked for my money back. They have just replied saying "they are investigating my complaint and this will take time, maybe up to eight weeks". But they will write to me in four weeks time to let me know what is happening. Do I wait for all this or do I push forward and take them to court now? Please advise.

    Abbey almost made me homeless with spiralling out of control charges. But this is what is going on in their heads, I quote; "High quality customer service is of great importance to us at Abbey":rotfl:

    You need to send them the next letter saying you will take them to court.

    Thanks for your advice Edinburghlass.
  • another trick they pulled on me was on first request for money I'd heard nothing after the 3 weeks. I went to the branch to get a number to call. Sopke to advisor who told me a reply had been sent week before. i asked for a duplicate as it hadn't arrived. When i finally got a reply they apologised as they had sent it to an old address!
    nice!

    Just send them a letter saying you are enclosing the list of charges that they are asking for. You may feel its not necessary but its easier to just comply with what they want at this stage.
