Know what you mean with the banks though, look at my post above and tell me how they get away with it ?
"Oh hello Sir, you're rich, have this nice interest rate on your savings paid for by the fines levied on those who can't afford it, whom we charge just to keep them in the brown stuff"
Hi fedupwiththeworry
I know where you're coming from, if your a footballer on thousands of pounds a week, they give you cars, and loads of free stuff. If your an ordinary working person they expect you to crawl to them cap in hand whenever you want something, it just makes my blood boil. There I've vented another spleen (again not you Nathan! lol)
Cheers for the support, now it's time to crack open a bottle of wine & have something to eat, take care

Spoke to a clerk at St Helens County Court today to ask how both my wife's & my own claims are progressing. The clerk said that they had both been stayed. The annoying thing is that we have paid to have our day in court to the tune of £120 each, plus my own AQ £100. The clerk even said that the Shabbey's solicitors had sent the wrong paperwork in, so they were giving them more time to apply for the stay on my wife's claim. He said it would all be explained in the letter from the court, but the Bl**dy post in Liverpool is on strike at the moment, so if I've got a deadline to counter claim the stay I could well lose out again.
Getting really fed up of being done over by not only the banks but also by spineless judges who couldn't make the right decision to save their lives.
Well that's my little rant out of the way & my spleen has been vented (sorry Nathan don't mean you lol!).
Any way good luck to everyone else. Signed P*ssed off of Liverpool.

Anyway ....the Order was dated 2nd oct drawn on 3rd oct but envelope was franked 10th October so you can prove the time element is not your responsibility. Yes its soap time lol.

well i filed against the Abbey at st.helens too, i dont fancy my chances then lol
but to be honest, i didnt expect it not to be stayed, cos althought i believe the stay both to me illegal and immoral, it seems to be the 'easiest' thing for the courts to do. I filed mine just because i wanted october 01 and november 01 penalty charges to be included in my claim

Pah the cheek!

Thanks Lin,
It's just so frustrating, and the post office lightning strikes don't help either, by the time the letter arrives I probably will have lost the 7 days to appeal. Although I sympathise with the posties, they are doing themselves no favours in Liverpool by having wildcat strikes. If I do get the chance to appeal and pay "the extra fee" do I get this back, also what happens to the AQ fee of £100, it just seems like the courts have found an easy way to make money from us like the banks have.

Seems like St Helens Court have rolled over for the banks, hope you have the chance to have your day in court, totally agree with you on the stay being illegal & immoral, it's also downright frustrating!

 what i want to know... is can i sue the OFT!!! lol. they're 'agreement' to allow banks to enjoy the luxury of a stay, while the 50 million british bank consumers are afforded nothing is nothing short of shielding the rich!! Not only is is obviously biased, immoral and illegal but it smacks of deception, corruption and profiteering!!!
isn't the reason why have the OFT!!!!??

Well this just about sums it up.
Basically at the moment I'm struggling so the money for the fines wasn't all available in my account. What do they do ? they pay their fines so I go overdrawn........yes that's right, they couldn't let me go £10.00 overdrawn to let a S/O go through so charged me £35.00 but they can let me go overdrawn to pay the £35.00 fine !!!!!!!!!!!
Probably get fined another £35.00 for not having the £35.00 there too.......................
and they wonder how people get into financial problems0 -
