I also noticed that none list on the front of the statement any of the charges I wish to reclaim. Could it be they will send more and indeed from the opening of my account? Also is it common that don't print the charges on the front of the statement? What should I do next?
Thanks in advance.
Hi billdemot
You will get your statements, they will probably be on microfiche, giving a breakdown of charges by month rather than the exact date they were taken out. They don't print a breakdown of charges on statements they send you, you have to trawl throughall your statements and look for any figures with a negative sign and the letters CHG, these are the charges the bank have taken from you.
Hope this helps

Hi Hugo,
If you go to the post office web site and type in the receipt number from your recorded delivery slip, this should give you evidence of who signed for the AQ and what date it was delivered. Take a printoutjust in case you need it as evidence for the court if the Abbey say they never received it.
Good Luck

It does help. I'll let you know when more come.
Thank you.0 -
I got a list of charges from Abbey today........and that's all it is,late payment and over limit charges,no purchases/payments etc so really easy to work out - just add up the figures!
They must be sending them out in different formats?0 -
Just wanted to share my good news with you guys, my husband and I walked into the Abbey today and paid up our outstanding 60k mortgage :j
Have to say it was a brilliant feeling.
I have been battling with the Abbey through the courts and with the advice of Martin and this site to re-claim my bank charges (case now stayed) but hey I now feel I am 1-0 up !!!
Advice to all the rest of you....... stick with a place of employment for 20 years... take a good voluntary redundancy and hey presto... house is now ours and the great thing is I am only 37.
In the words of Bruce Almighty in the film ... "Its good".
Roll on January so I can kick more Abbey *rse when the banks lose the test case !!!!
Keep the faith guys. :beer:0 -

evening fellow money savers,
about a month ago i appealed against the stay that had been applied to my case,i have today recieved a letter from my local county court giving me a hearing date of october the 4th.
i was hoping some of you on here could offer me some advice about what i need to say when i am in court, what i will need to take with me.
i have already submitted the court bundle containing all the statements, witness statement and the documents from the CAG site,is there anything else i will need to take on the day?
also do you think it is likely abbey will not turn up or the judge will stay the case again if abbey do turn up?
any words of advice greatly appreciated0 -
Morning all,
Well i'm confused, received allocation questionnaire for my reclaim & a letter from the same court about my wifes claim stating that they're applying for a stay, and if we've any objections that we need to let them know by the 28th of September. How can they let one proceed and try to put one on hold? Any thoughts?

you could try getting in touch with the court to see if they will take it out of the file and allow you to do a copy.0
