Hi well last year i was charged for a payment without enouh funds and the lady i spoke to on the phone said they wouldnt stop the charge because i had one done before ... but when i went into my own branch the manager said she would do it "just this once"
Now over christmas i rang BT to see if they could delay a DD because the funds wernt there and they said they would try but couldnt promise as the procss has already started ... so anyway we went to cornwall i used my card etc ... and 4 payments were taken without the funds being there ... so now ive had a letter saying that they are going to take £140.00 at the end of this month and im panicking i only get £110.00 going in each week so to try and have the amount there it wil really b*gger me up for the week ......... does anyone have any advice about trying to either get them not to take the full amount at once or maybe to get them dropped ?
please help me ...Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -

I rang their call centre and the woman told me that she wouldnt stop the charges and i should ring bt and ask them to give me some money because they took a payment when id asked them to delay it !! so therefore was not the banks fault !
i told them id be in hardship at the end of the month if they did this and she said well sorry but i cant take them off ...
is it worthwile talking to somone from my own branch.? ... as when this happened last year the woman at the call centre said nope but when i saw somone at the branch she spoke to her manage and she said yep and took them both offHoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Nothing to do with bank charges but I have been complaining to Tesco for weeks using their call centre and only in the past few days am I getting anywhere since I involved my local store. They at least want to keep my business and have a vested interest in ME, so I would try your local branch first, it won't do any harm.0
