I feel your pain...
Firstly, congratulations
Secondly, someone gave me one of these so that should do for housing all my crapola for the time being...I have one already that is half the size of that one which is already full...
Thank you.
Jo, you are a darn sight more organised than I ever was. I stuffed all the notes up in the attic four years ago, and Amaz0ned the textbooks. I then got all the notes down and recycled them last year in a burst of energy, and only regret getting rid of the marked essays, as there were a couple that I was chuffed with. The horrible, dreadful reality is that I finished the second one four years ago. How my office has clung on to all that excess tat should be a mystery but of course it's not - I'm competing in the World Procrastination Olympics when I can get round to training and sending off the forms (which I've lost somewhere in the attic). I'm just a practising amateur at the moment.
Four duvets and two pillows done at the laundrette this afternoon. I have the whole house to myself next week so I'll be able to spring clean the last of the bedrooms and slurp around in pjs all day. Bliss.Better is good enough.0 -
Apologies if this is not in the right section....
I will soon be taking back possession of a flat which has been rented out to tenants for 5 years. Recent inspection has told me that it is filthy, especially the kitchen.
Can anyone recommend a really effective cleaner to remove layers of grease from kitchen cupboards? I have used soda crystals in the past and I know decorators use sugar soap...are these the best options?
I have ordered Oven Mate for the cooker hob and oven....is this the best option?
Thanks in advance0 -
Another reason to not bother.. just fold and put away.. I haven't ironed a thing in years.
I hate ironing with a passion, everything would go in the TD, shake and fold....doing 25 washloads a week, it was the only way....no iron or easy iron school shirts never bothered....having 3 goth style daughters meant ironed clothes would have made them stand out amongst their peers.....DD1 has just been successfully packed off to Uni and now DD3 is moving social groups to the Scene kids, now she wants a more pristine look, but the goth attitude of can't be a**ed still stands
I currently have a big batch of maternity clothes I got as a surprise bundle off ebay, non of which are TD-able and only look anything once it has kissed an iron!
So it is scrappy T shirt and leggings while flying, and "nice" maternity clothes if I have to poke my nose outside the front door!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I don't plan to do any more ironing than I have to - flying or not!:DThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -

Am well cuffed. Girls have managed to do a good job off ticking things off the list. They have just decluttered their tea, and now DD1 has started hoovering bedroom. Will definitely be repeating this next week, DD2 has done well too, just need to do the hoovering in there and all done. Beds can be changed in the morning. Go Girlies :j

My boys are quite spectacular with ironed clothes. I find them scrwed up but still folded neatly back in the dirty washing box. Grrrr!
FLying has consisted of S/S the kitchen.
Excellent day today. DS3 won the inter-schools cross country by 40 meters. He came 7th last year so we really weren't expecting him to win. It's cost DH £10!
Its now pouring with rain and we are due to go out to a quiz night at the school. It's a bring a bottle evening so I won't bother to do my hair in this weather.0 -

Governor meeting decluttered so time for a cuppa and then HHtidying the dinning room.
Hi Dusty (and Bonnie), one of the special 10 still here! I don't post every day at the mo, as have been SO busy with non-flying stuff recently, but I still follow the thread and certainly get inspiration from the lists - often things are mentioned that makes me go and do something I woukdn't have otherwise done. And - I've still got my shiny, silver flylady catsuit!!!
Welcome to all the new flyers, and how busy you all are! You put me to shame. Have had another busy couple of days, cleaning floors, paperwork, then work yesterday. Today we had to hoover again as the cat had brought in a pigeon and there were feathers everywhere! This is the one thing I hate about cats, but luckily he doesn't catch many and never seems fussed about the bird feeders. Did two x WM, cleaned bathroom and kitchen, dusted through bungalow, then went shopping for friend and our food shopping. Cleaned at friends, then home to a nice cuppa! Going to chill again tonight with an easy meal (pizza and salad) and a film.
Good vibes to everyone, R x0 -

Hi there - and welcome from a still fairly new 'newbie!'
I've mentioned this before, so apologies to anyone who's heard this tale, but one of my friends was once really horrified to hear I didn't iron my undies! I told her my knickers would fall down in shock if they saw an iron!! And they would!!!
Good luck with your flying and congratulations on the expected baby, R x0 -

Many congratulations on your DS3's cross country win - that's a good margin to win by, too.0 -
