I have pegged out washing, ironed what was 'dry' from yesterday - that's now airing on the maiden in my bedroom in front of the open window (maiden is star of Villa Valli on google earth;)).

I have hand brushed the stairs then been up and down them with a piece of old towel dampened with cold water vigorously spot-rubbing. This in preparation for vacuuming later.

I would LOVE to be a fly-on-the-wall in Lamewolf's lair right now :rotfl:

    Morning lovelies!

Cleaned the bathroom for the first time in *coughs*3weeks*coughs* :o I didn't think it looked that bad until I started cleaning it  anyway it left me inspired to actually buy some accessories that I never got round to buying, mirror, toilet roll holder, new shower curtain that I can wash and wasn't the council's pvc carp, and a cheapo shower storage shelf thing so I can hang my 'forever floating about the bathroom' scrubbies on........ stuck it on my Argos card but I'm that poor now, I'm passed caring :rotfl: so it's looking fabulous now dahliiiiings.

The downstairs however needs a good hoover and a mop, as does the stairs. WM & TD are in full flow, LR tidied, kitchen cleaned (except the floor) will gather all the 'need to iron ironing' together somehow I've manged to get little piles of it all over the house.....no idea!

Another one of my customers sadly died yesterday he'd been battling Leukemia for a year and was 87 so not totally unexpected sad all the same though :( as his Sister said 'you're losing jobs left, right and centre' haha I know I might have to pack in altogether at this rate and go on the dole  *shudders*

Hope everyone's ok, welcome to returners and new people :hello:

aww Embb sorry about your customer/client.

Just a thought and I don't know if you can but are you in contact with any MacMillan nurses who could pass your details on to potential clients?

Well done on the bathroom scrubbing.

Just had an email from my union - they are giving shopping vouchers to us if we recruit new members. I have just emailed one colleague (and given her my membership number) then I can get an incentive! And I think there's another who needs to be in a union...;)

Not sure I could handle sick people Valli, only handled this one because I'd been going for 4 yrs and he wasn't poorly when I started, but, it is an avenue I hadn't thought of so thanks for that, it may be worth chewing over. x

Dropped DD2 off at her friends so think I'm gonna do her bedroom, she needs her bed changing and it needs a good clean, I go in every morning and give it a super-quick tidy to keep on top of it and to quench my paranoia at somebody coming in and seeing the grot-spot it used to be . We are in talks about her doing it and earning pocket money but I seem to be developing OCD and I'd rather do it myself, because it wouldn't be done properly/to my standards OMG

On that scary note I'm off to load the TD again.

    Hi all

In good shape here as kiddies away. Wm on, and I've been In the garden most of the morning. Borrowed FIL garden vac, since they have borrowed my children. Had a hilarious half hour not knowing whether I was coming or going (it's a suck and blow one ;)) and I think I may have made more mess that I originally had. But it was good fun, and I've not laughed at myself so much in a long time.
Did get myself rather filthy though, so I've had a shower and washed the mop (that one that lives on my head).

Going to mums this aft and will stay over so have plenty of company and distraction, so I don't miss my babies too much...

Aggghhhhggggh. DH been in sandy places. Not due back until 1st week in November. Just phoned to say he's being medivacced out. (Needle stick injury) House is a sty. Glad to get him back, although a complete waste of the sexy underwear I'd bought for his welcome back. 3 months of waiting to find out. I could just cry.

I have been a good flyer. I have done everything except cut the grass. Dog walk was nearly 2 hours and I am now in PJs instead of muddy clothes.

Reasons why the grass is not cut:

    Its not that long
It rained overnight according to farmer friend
    I am now in PJs
    I can't be bothered

Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon and evening. Cuppa and cake time methinks.
Spend less now, work less later.
